"He's going to be okay", my Mum said, a relieved tone in her voice as she came out of his room. I ran over to hug her, sobbing tears of relief into her jumper. Next I ran into Tyler's room, he was asking the doctor if a girl with brown hair had come by. That was my cue.
I walk in and carefully hug him, stroking his soft, dark hair. He pulled me away and kissed me gently, this signaled for the doctor to leave and I saw his cheeks flush as he left the room.
" I thought you were dead", I cried into his chest.
I'd never leave without saying goodbye, would I?, he questioned, that cheeky smile crossing his face again."Tyler. I have to tell you something. Today, when you got hurt, I saw a dead man holding a gun..." I waited for his reaction, not knowing what he would do.
"You saw what?!?" he screamed.
"A ghost man, with a gun, now keep your voice down would you."
"So he shot me! Is that why the doctors couldn't find what had caused the bleeding. It was a ghost gun?"
"Yes."
I would have ran after the man that shot him, but hello, he had a gun! I couldn't risk getting shot as well.
"Why do you think he shot me then, out of all the people and he chose me, why?" he asked.
"I don't know... Wait. Maybe he knew about us being able to see them-"
"And he couldn't risk anyone finding out about them... Well, whoever this man is, he is also a danger to you Ali and I can't let you get hurt as well..." Tyler whispered, as a few people walked past the door.
"It's fine Tyler, I can look after myself."
"Ali, you have to realise one thing, that man is probably not alone out there..."
