CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Rina's POV

I woke up to see that James sleeping beside me cuddling with me. Sometimes I keep on forgetting that he is the head of a mafia and not my personal teddy bear. I was so comfortable that I ended up moving closer to the warmth he was giving and in no time I feel asleep.

Time skip

I felt the warmth that was around me leave but I still didn't wake up yet whether it's because I can be lazy sometimes or I'm tired I don't know.
A few minutes later Mr Evans tried to wake me up it didn't work I felt like I was going deeper into my sleep with the way he was patting my head and whispering for me to wake up. Like really who wakes up somebody like that.

I later heard someone saying you're supposed to wake her up not put her back to sleep arghh just go out I'll do it myself. I realized then that it was Mrs Evans because no one else I know can talk to him like that. After she successfully woke me up, we went to have dinner downstairs.

They asked me how I knew Eva I said I didn't I was trying to help her out because anyone could see she was in trouble. After saying that I saw pride and admiration shining in their eyes.

Mrs Evans gave me a blue gun to protect myself even though I already have a lot of guns I love this one the most like it's a combination of my two favorite things blue and guns. I asked them how they knew Eva and they became sad just when they were about to talk my phone started ringing I wanted to mute or Ignore the call but I saw Eva on the caller ID.

She told me she needed help that she snuck pass the bodyguards to go for a walk because she felt suffocated but then ended up seeing her boyfriend's or should I say ex's friends the same ones that tortured her for two years.

At that moment I felt proud and concerned, proud that she could get pass highly trained bodyguards and scared because she's in trouble because of it. I stood up to leave the Evans stood up too. I told them everything they wanted to send their men but I know they won't get there on time so ignoring every one's protest I grabbed the blue when I saw it was fully loaded I smiled to myself.

I ran to outside to my bike but then Mr Evans shouted at the guards to stop me since I'm still wounded plus they don't know I can fight my moves where a bit slow but I was still faster than them. I soon got to my bike and speeded out I tracked her location through her bracelet that I gave her.

I saw her being surrounded by ten guys. I quietly parked my bike, hey; I shouted, that got everyone distracted enough for Eva to slip pass them and to my side. They all smirked and was by day the hottest among all of them said " Eva it's not like you to want to put others in danger now who is you little friend here she's hot", first of all who you calling little I'm 5'7 thank you very much; I said, really that's the one you comment on. fiesty too I like you even more now, how about you pass her to us and I'll let you go or else you can experience what we want to do to her too.

First of all thank you and also not gonna happen you want her you'll have to get through me; I said, his smirk didn't fall still and said I'm going to enjoy breaking that fighting spirit in you, get them . Before I could fight them Eva dragged over to somewhere to hide she first apologized for dragging me into this mess and I was the only one she could call.

I later took down nine of them it was only remaining pretty boy who had yet to come. When we were about to get to my bike a hand grabbed me looks like pretty boy finally decided to show up I told her to run away which she quickly did but came back a minute later why did she have to come back she could have been safe.

Soon two guys came out and grabbed her. While to extra guys came an held me I was too weak to fight because of the injuries and taking down those guys. How about we give her the Eva treatment everybody; he said Eva's eyes widened in fear she started begging them not to. Oh don't think we have forgotten about you; he said.

They brought out baseball bats and started hitting us with along with some kicks and punches, when the got tired, they waited for a little while I could see that Eva was in so much pain and was exhausted. I see that you still have your fighting spirit intact hmm I really like you now; he said, I rolled my eyes and said guys don't do this to girls they like. He slapped so hard I spat out blood and said I will not take any disrespect, I rolled my eyes to that and got slapped again.

He then dragged me up and started choking me up a wall. James voice echoed clear, let them go he said quickly all of the guys where taken down. Mr Evans carried Eva because she was too weak and couldn't stand up on her own. Sorry I dragged you into this trying to make her feel better I slipped up and said don't worry I've been through way worse.

You've been through what; James said coldly, I playfully rolled my eyes and smiled, you know that won't work on me right. Come on can't you just be happy that we are all right; I said and hugged him, this shouldn't be what you consider as alright he mumbled into my hair due to this position I could see pretty boy of there break free from the guy that was holding him and fired his gun at James I did the first thing that came to mind and turned around to take the bullet.

I felt in excruciating pain when the bullet pierced me I'm not used to the pain since know one can shoot me normally. I felt unbelievably weaker I heard to shots coming from James and pretty boy over there had a bullet hole in his head and heart. Get rid of them; he said with no emotions it felt like the temperature dropped. I tried to talk to him, calm him down anything but I couldn't soon black spots clouded my vision and I felt dizzy. They quickly rushed us to the hospital I heard muffled noise around me and soon I past out.

James POV

I woke to see Rina sleeping soundly. I wanted to leave but she tighten her grip mumbling don't go teddy. I've been called a lot of things but never teddy I smirked and just held her in my arms. Soon a maid came to call us that dinner will be ready soon I went to get ready she stirred a little when I left but didn't wake up.

When she came downstairs for dinner we asked her some questions and couldn't help falling for her even more how can someone be so kind and considerate disregarding her safety for others. Although I'm not happy with her methods but I'm grateful none the less.

When I saw my mum gave her a loaded gun I was shocked and worried, shocked that my mother actually gave her a gun and worried that she might get hurt. During dinner someone called her and when she picked she stood up immediately after telling us everything she grabbed the gun and went towards the door outside. We tried to stop her but she still managed to get pass despite being injured.

We rushed to search for her everywhere after sometime the person I least expected called us and told us her and Rina's Location. When we arrived there we saw both Rina and Eva being tortured it broke my heart the two girls I love and care about being hurt in front of me.

When we finally took down all the man I went on to scolding Rina but as usual she didn't take it seriously and just hugged me because she knows I can't stay mad at her. Suddenly she turned I didn't even get the time to question her when the next thing I heard was a gun shot, I look up to see who was behind that's and out of anger I shot him twice.

We soon rush them to the hospital Rina was rushed into the operation theatre while Eva was being quickly treatment too. Eva fell asleep after everything, when the operation was finally over the doctor came with a sad smile and said they tried their best that if she doesn't wake up in the next 24hrs she might never wake up again so now it's up to her.

My mum and dad practical forced me back home to freshen up before we go back. When we got home I didn't go to my room I went to the gym to vent out my anger of course the only girl I've fell in love with was shot in front of me and might be on the brink of death all because she took the bullet for me.

After going to freshen up my parents told me they told her family and now they are the hospital waiting. So went to back to the hospital the ride was silent and gloomy.
