Asmodeus sprinted from his room and above deck while in tears. He didn't want this life. He didn't want to marry a woman just to ensure his family stayed rich. He didn't want to keep going anymore. So he made his way to the stern where Fizzarolli was lying on a bench, looking up at the stars, and having a smoke. That's when he heard sobbing and a pair of heels run past. It was Asmodeus. He sat up and looked over at him. Asmodeus stopped to catch his breath before looking at the railing. He walked over to it, making sure no one was watching, and climbed over the side. Once he was over, he turned to the ocean below, waiting to find the courage to jump off.

"Don't do it," Fizzarolli told him, slowly approaching

Asmodeus looked back at him, "Stay back. Don't come any closer."

Fizzarolli slowly walked over with his hand out, "Come on. Just give me your hand. I'll pull you back over."

"No! Stay where you are. I mean it. I'll let go."

Fizzarolli managed to get a little bit closer, nearly standing next to her after he tossed his cigarette overboard.

"No, you won't," Fizzarolli said, sure that he wouldn't

"What do you mean, no, I won't?" Asmodeus asked him, "Don't presume to tell me what I will and will not do. You don't know me."

"Well, you would have done it already."

"You're distracting me. Go away!"

"I can't. I'm involved now. You let go and I'm going to have to jump in there after you."

Fizzarolli took his jacket off and started to take his shoes off.

"Don't be absurd. You'll be killed," Asmodeus told him

"I'm a good swimmer," Fizzarolli told him

"The fall alone would kill you."

"It would hurt. I'm not saying it wouldn't. To tell you the truth I'm a lot more concerned about that water being so cold."

Asmodeus went quiet as Fizzarolli took one shoe off and started on the next.

"How cold?" Asmodeus asked

"Freezing," Fizzarolli said, "Maybe a couple of degrees over," Fizzarolli got his other shoe off, "You ever, uh... ever been to Judecca?"

"What?"

"Well, it's the coldest ring on Hell. I sometimes went there for shows with my friend and his father. I remember when I was a kid, me and my friend's father, we went ice fishing out on the Lakes. Ice fishing is, you know, where you--"

"I know what ice fishing is!" Asmodeus said

"Sorry. You just seem like, you know, kind of an indoor demon lord. Anyway, I, uh... I fell through some thin ice and I'm telling you... water that cold, like right down there, it hits you like a thousand knives stabbing you all over your body. You can't breathe, you can't think. At least not about anything but the pain. Which is why I'm not looking forward to jumping in there after you. Like I said... I don't have a choice. I guess I'm kind of hoping you'll come back over the rail and get me off the hook here."

"You're crazy."

"That's what everybody says, but with all due respect, my Lord, I'm not the one hanging off the back of a ship here. Come on. Come on, give me your hand. You don't want to do this."

Asmodeus looked at Fizzarolli's hand. He knew he was right. He didn't want to do this. He would've jumped off by now if he did. Hesitantly, he took Fizzarolli's hand and turned back around.

"I'm Fizzarolli," Fizzarolli introduced himself

"Lord Asmodeus, the embodiment of Lust," Asmodeus said
