Chapter 3: I Know Them

After Ronin and the turtles left April went back to her apartment and she was digging through her closet.

April: Leonardo. I know those names. I know those names. Raphael, Raphael. Leonardo.

She gets a box, and she dumps out all of it revealing her father's research. She searches through everything until she finds a tape recorder. She plays it and sees hers and Y/N's younger selves.

Young April: Good evening. This is April O'Neil, reporting live from my daddy's lab. I know it sounds pretty boring, but actually, he does some pretty cool stuff.

April's Dad: Time to put the camera away, April.

Young April: Aw, Dad!

April is close to tears.

Young Y/N: Can we finish this please?

Y/N's Dad: Fine.

Young Y/N: Thank you.

April fast forwards it.

Young April: And now we will show you something amazing. It's supposed to be from a different planet in outer space!

Eric begins to inject part of a mutagen into a turtle.

Young April: Mr. Sacks, what sort of experiments are you doing here?

Sacks: Oh, that's a very complicated question. We're trying to change the world.

She then sees four turtles and a rat.

Young Y/N: And here's our family.

Young April: Look at the camera! Hello, Splinter.

April puts in another tape.

Young April: And these are my little turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello. The fans want to see you.

Young Y/N holds out his hand to the glass as Leo looks at it and it cracks the glass.

April: I knew it.

Taylor is at the doorway.

April: The vigilante, I saw him. I saw them! I saw them. I've known them since I was a little girl. They were my pets and my best friend. They were my childhood pets and my childhood friend, and they were named after Italian Renaissance painters.

Taylor: Mom, I want to move back home.

With Ronin and the other they were sneaking back into the lair.

Raph: Is he here?

Leo: I don't see him. Donnie?

Donnie: My thermal scans indicate there's a 74% variable that there's a 61% chance he's not...

Mikey comes up.

Mikey: That he's not here, guys. That he's not here.

Ronin: Shhh!

Leo: Okay. Fall in, quietly.

They all land quietly but Mikey lands loudly.

Raph: Dude!

They began to sneak to the lair and put their weapons away.

Mikey: Dude. So, guys, if it wasn't already obvious with that girl, dibs.

Leo: Shh... If Master Splinter catches us, he'll send us back to the Ha'shi.

Y/N: I hate the Ha'shi.

Raph: I ain't going back to the Ha'shi.

Leo: Every time we're in the Ha'shi, it's because of you.

Raph: Well, bro, you won't have to worry about me dragging you down anymore.
