Chapter 4~Jealousy will get the best of you.

*Jack's POV*

Kate was starting off into space. I can't have her thinking about Jack J. I like her.

"Kate? Kate!" I waved my hands in front of her face.

"Yes?" She glared at me. Awww, she's mad, it looks adorable on her.

"We should go downstairs now. I don't know how long it takes women to walk but, I need my food." I made hand motions to get her to move.

She looked at me like I took her Starbucks away. Never try it, it's not pretty.

"Who do you think you are? Asking me to move." Kate spat, she clenched her fist.

"Whatever. Let's go, Katy Kat." I winked. I have a reputation to hold. She started walking to the stairs, I followed not far behind.

"Thank you for inviting us, Mrs. Gilinsky. Dinner is lovely." Kate kissed up to my mom.

"Kiss up." I mumbled loud enough for Kate to hear next to me.

"Mom, can Jack come over and have dinner, too Mother." I remembered asking. I hope she'll says yes.

"Sure! He's family." My mom smiled.

"Okay, thanks." I pulled out my phone, texting Jack J.

G ~ Jack G J ~ Jack J

G : She said yes. Just remember to go down the tree, first.

J : Okay. See you in 5.

"Yes ma'am, I have met Jack. He was very sweet." Kate smiled.
What? I don't pay attention and she's head over heels for him. I clenched my fists under the table. That's supposed to be me.

"Ahem." I obnoxiously and loudly clear my throat. Kate rolled her eyes. What am I doing wrong?

"Is there something wrong, Jack?" Yes, there is. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!?!?!

*Ding*

Finally, he's here. I hope that Jack didn't get hurt.

"I'll get it, Mom." I hurried to get Jack.

"Hey Mrs. Gilinsky!" Jack J cheered. I was closely behind him.
"Honey, please call me, Katherine." My mom always insists that to Jack, he never remembers.

"Thank you for having me over." Jack J pulled over an extra chair.

"Iced tea?" My mom offered.

Kate whispered to Jack J, who sat across from her. I wish I knew what they were saying, probably just flirting.

Jack J winked and Kate blushed and went back to my food. I'm supposed to get the girl, that's how it works. Jack is like a brother to me but, all the girls fall for me. My blood boiled and my veins popped.

Kate glanced to me, I looked like I was going to kill someone. That someone might be Jack.

"It's been a pleasure meeting you, Katherine." Mrs. Williams said.

"We need to have a spa day, Susan. I need to fill you about all the gossip." My mom said, clearing the table.

"Let me help." Kate offered, taking the glasses to the sink. She's so sweet.
"Meet me in the kitchen. I need to tell you something." Oh god, what is my mom going to ask her. I hope she doesn't embarrass me.

"We must leave. Kate and I have to go clothes shopping. Want to join us, Katherine?" Mrs. Williams asked.

"I'm busy with weeding tomorrow. Another time, Susan." When my mom says 'I', she means me.

"C'mon Kate." Mr. Williams and her little brother walked towards the door. Mr. Williams glanced at me, I hope he likes me.

"Of course!" They walked to the front door. She lives next door, why would he have to walk her home?

"Did anyone tell you that you're beautiful?" Jack J cooed.

"Umm, n-no." She blushed, turning her cheeks a rosy color. I've been around my mom too much.
"Well, I just did." Jack intertwined their hands and opened the front door.

"Why thank you, Mr. Johnson. Is there a reason why you are being so formal?"

"Can I be nice to a beautiful girl?"

She looked at him unamued. Maybe she doesn't like him like that and I have a chance!

"Kate, may I speak to you." Jack J said formally. Crap! He might try to ask her on a date. I won't let that happen on my watch.

"Okay, okay. You caught me." He raised his hands in surrender. I laughed, he looked so innocent.

"Will you do the honor of being my girlfriend, Ms. Williams?" He pulled out a rose, that suddenly appeared from his back. That's actually romantic. Maybe being around me for so long, he picked up some skills.

"On one condition. No sappy crap, pet names, or PDA." Kate cringed.
"Of course! I hate PDA." That's a lie. Jack likes PDA because it's like bragging how awesome his girlfriend is.

"Then, I'd love too." She grinned. Jack and I are having a longggg talk.
