Jake stepped up to the microphone holding his Chucky doll, and I rose to my feet as Oliver glanced at me, draping his arm around me.
"Hi, I'm Chucky," I looked at Junior watching Oliver, and I gave him the finger while Junior snorted and turned his attention back to Jake and the Chucky doll. "And I'm your friend till the end, right Jake?" Chucky's head quickly swiveled toward Jake.
"Yeah, that's right," Jake said, looking away from the doll. "Now remember we're just friends, nothing more - not that there's anything wrong with that." Soft laughter emerged from the audience as Chucky commented.
"Look what I found!" Chucky exclaimed while raising Lexi's phone. "My phone!" Lexi screamed as she strode over to the doll. The doll's head flipped to face her and shouted, "BOO!" Startled, Lexi jumped back nervously.
The crowd roared with laughter, and so did I. "There are tons of photos of Junior here," said Chucky as Junior laughed along. "And a bunch of Oliver too!" Chucky perused more of her pictures.
Junior's grin vanished, and he shot an icy glare at Oliver. I followed suit with a piercing stare of my own.
"Oops... seems like that was a secret," Chucky taunted as the crowd burst into laughter again. "Jake, stop this," Lexi whispered to Jake. "I'm not the one doing this," Jake whispered back.
"We all have secrets, don't we, Amelia?" Chucky said as the spotlight shifted towards me and the crowd murmured.
A secret? Well, I do have secrets, but how could he know? It worried me.
"Here's Lexi's search history," Chucky announced, scrolling through her history. "Apparently, she's Botox curious, she's into Pokémon adult content, and look at what she repeatedly searches for!" Chucky directed the phone at Jake so he could read Lexi's search query.
