Harry is standing at the shoreline staring out at the water, nose scrunched, and arms crossed as his toes dig into the sand. It's still rather early, the sun hasn't reached its peak yet, but the rays are still beating down on their exposed skin. Louis is standing next to him, chatting with Zayn and Liam while he is smoking his cigarette, his other arm holding Harry's waist. They are just waiting for Niall, Pam, and Beth to arrive before they make use of the jet skies like Zayn had promised them at the bonfire.

Harry is still sceptical about the whole ordeal, not sure if they are actually safe. Zayn did promise him more than once that he will give them all the necessary instructions and that nothing can happen, but it didn't do much to ease Harry's nerves.

Pam, Niall, and Beth arrive with wide grins, and they all stand in a circle while Zayn starts explaining everything. Harry is thankful for Louis' arm that is still holding him, providing him comfort.

He's glad that at least in front of their friends they don't have to hide, because the last week has consisted of them sneaking around while Harry was trying to avoid his parents at all costs. He has been sleeping at Louis' bungalow the past few nights, but he also knows his parents don't really enjoy him sleeping elsewhere, so it's not always an option. Despite a week passing, he hasn't had time to talk with Beth and Pam about everything yet, and he misses his friends.

Louis pulls Harry in front of him, wraps his arms around his stomach, squeezing him tight so that his front is flush to Harry's back, and rests his head on his shoulder. "We can also ride it together." He whispers into his ear.

"Yeah?" Harry asks and Louis hums.

"But you don't have to if you don't want to. I don't mind staying back with you."

Harry turns to Louis now, eyebrow slightly raised, because Louis has exclaimed more than once over the past week how much he enjoys driving around on a jet ski. Something about the adrenaline kick.

"I really don't. Whatever you want, doll face." He promises, kissing Harry's cheek before turning him around again. Zayn winks at them but continues with his speech, and it doesn't take long until they all walk towards the jet skies. Pam and Liam decided to share as well, while all the others took one of their own.

Harry checks his life vests three times to make sure it's secured before he climbs on the jet ski behind Louis, wrapping his arms around him tightly.

"Just hold on and stay calm, it's fun." Louis says right before he starts the engine, making Harry close his eyes and hold on impossibly tighter.

Eventually, though, he dares to open his eyes, mouth splitting into a wide grin from the way the water is splashing on their skin and the wind is messing up their hair. Zayn is driving just ahead of them, leading the way to the small island that can only be reached over water and is the destination for their trip.

They've all packed something to eat and drink, planning on spending the day there for as long as the sun allows them. Harry is looking forward to enjoying the time with his friends and being close to Louis.

Zayn leads the group around the island once just for fun, which doesn't take that long considering it's really small, and they're all really enjoying using the jet skies.

Louis grins at Harry once they are back on land while he undoes his life jacket. "And?" He asks with a knowing look, making Harry roll his eyes, but he can't hide his smile for too long.

"It was fun." He relents and Louis cheers before he surges forward and gives Harry a quick kiss, effectively making him blush. He's still not used to Louis just kissing him like that, especially not in front of their friends, even if they are all rather supportive.
