Day #24 -
No one's POV -
They ran, and ran, and ran. They made it to the entrance of the woods, Cody decided to cut threw the woods whilst DJ just kept running, not caring where it lead. DJ's path got higher and higher from the ground. His eyes clouded with tears, knowing the killer was chasing him. Why? maybe Cody was quicker on his feet? He wanted a harder target? We will never know. He was terrified, he didn't want to die, his mother is still waiting for him back home, he is all she has left. She wouldn't be able to live with this tragedy. He ran and ran, until he ran out of places to go. A dead end. Fuck. He turned slowly, almost cartoonish. The killer had already got him. He tried to fight, but its difficult when your vision is completely clouded. He tried punching, his body getting weaker with every hit. He couldn't do this. He gave up. 'I'm sorry, Mama.' his last thought. He wasn't stabbed, strangled, hung, he was pushed. Well that's a new one. DJ wasn't expecting this, it wasn't that high, he could make it. He yelled, yelled for his mother, not out of fear, but out of hope.
This was all short lived. He landed on rocks below, one coincidently struck him right in the back, basically shattering his spine in two. DJ tried opening his eyes. He can't see, why cant he see!? He panicked, from his vision loss to his unbearable pain. It was all too much. He felt himself bleeding, though he didn't know from where. He let out small cries, shouting for his Mother, Cody, everyone. No one came.
DJ waited for death to take him in its cold embrace, hoping there was something better waiting for him on the other side, if there was another side.
Sorry this is a really short one. I basically started half of this on the last chapter, so it was more of a continuation. But, HOLY SHIT, ALMOST 5K READS. I almost cried today from the amount of support, I didn't know this many kind people existed on one platform. Thank you all so much! Everyone have a great day and/or night. ILY ALL OML!
