~Chapter Six~

I put my head against the glass, and gently closed my eyes. I wasn't smiling like one was expecting, but I wasn't frowning either; I was just simply at peace. This was my first time ever venturing into the observatory. Of course the view from the panels of glass covering the walls was ethereal, but the inside was nothing short of gorgeous as well. Vines of golden pothos lined the walls, with red roses in forest green pots. They must have been recently watered, as the sheen of the dew illuminated by the moonlight reflected into my eyes. This caused them to shine like stars. I lifted my head from the glass, and walked over to the seats that lined the floors. They were plush benches attached to the walls, and the cushions were sewn out of a fluffy red velvet. I sat down and leaned the back of my head against the wall, and rested my hands on the soft velvet. As the moments went by, I quickly felt my eyes grow heavier and heavier. I don't feel like getting up, I thought to myself. Soon enough, everything around me grew quieter as I drifted off into a deep sleep....
