Mabel awoke as the sun slowly encroached on the camper and poured in the age-tinted windows. Her eyes blinked back the first morning's brightness as they slowly adjusted.  The air felt cold compared to the snug warm and inviting depths of her sleeping bag. She should probably get up her mind told her. meanwhile, her body curled up snuggling deeper yet into the recesses of her sleeping bag. She could see Dipper was asleep still, his wavy brown hair rising and falling with each breath. If he was still asleep Mabel was going back to bed. With that, she fell back asleep.

When Mabel awoke again the soft warm summer breeze blew on the windows of the camper outside. Meanwhile inside it was heating up quickly as the sun had already risen higher in the sky turning Grunkle Stan & Grunkle Ford's RV into a greenhouse. The temperature inside was leaving the cozy zone and quickly straying into the uninviting territory of stiflingly warm.

With that Mabel shed her sleeping bag, rolling onto the floor with a thud. Groaning she stood up and stretched her lanky limbs as her elbows popped. She smiled feeling better. She looked at herself in the mirror. YIKES...Mabel babe we got some work to do she thought jamming her toothbrush in her mouth with some toothpaste on it as she brushed her teeth.

Her hair looked like birds had nested in it while she slept. She hummed a song softly as she brushed her hair. Then the joy of last night washed over her in pleasant elating waves. Oh, what a great evening it had been! It was the first time she had ever seen Wendy and the gang completely accept Pacifica as one of their own. That meant more than anything to Mabel. Pacifica was like a sister to her, and she was an amazing girl under all the obfuscated layers of physiological and emotional abuse her parents put her through either directly or indirectly. But under all those layers was still a girl who wanted to have friends and wanted to be loved and accepted.

And if Mabel had anything to do with it she would make sure Dipper was the one to make her feel extra loved. Mabel's imagination wandered as she brushed her hair. As her mind strayed she saw Pacifica in front of a grand silver mirror. Directly in front of her facing the mirror was a little boy. He had Pacifica's fair skin, but Dippers hazelnut eyes. Pacifica had her arms around him as she looped his necktie around his gray suit jacket teaching him how to tie it himself one day. The boys's eyes watched her fastidiously taking in every detail...much like Dipper. Mabel smiled.

Then the daydream shifted. Dipper was tucking his daughter into her sheets and saying goodnight to her. Her eyes, which shone brightly like twin blue sapphires, were just like her mother's. Her hair however was an entropy of wavy curly brown that looked very fluffy.  The little girl's eyes glowed with a fever of excitement. The girl was far from tired, unlike Dipper who was yawning. Dipper turned around, but when he turned back the girl was gone from the bed. His eyes opened wide now. He knelt to look under the bed. That was when the girl pounced from the dresser onto his back. Dipper collapsed over with a groan as the girl giggled with mirthful fits of laughter.

Dipper mustered a smile that said, "I'm getting too old for this." His smile softened as his daughter continued to giggle with laughter.  He tickled her belly and she shrieked with laughter. Dipper joined in laughing with joy. Sitting up against the bed he drew her into his arms embracing her as his one hand absentmindedly brushed her hair through his fingers lovingly.

Three knocks sounded from the RV trailer door. Mabel was drawn out of her deep reverie as she put her hairbrush down. Pacifica was at the door. Mabel smiled at Pacifica lovingly thinking of the little boy that looked like Dipper.

Pacifica grinned back at Mabel inquisitively, "What's got you all happy this morning?" Mabel slid over to the door and walked out joining the blonde heiress. "Oh, just a daydream." Pacifica looked at Mabel more closely, "Oh? about what?" Mabel smirked, "Just a happy future with two happy people." Pacifica shook her head at Mabel's coy ambiguity, unable to make heads or tails of it. Instead, she thrust a cup of dark coffee into Mabel's hand while she continued to sip her own cup.
