I've been going through... some things recently, but I'm here now!

Because this took so long to upload, I decided to make it the longest chapter yet-

You and your friends had decided to dare each other to enter the Demon City. You're all Onmyojis in training, and you know that going in might kill you... Everyone is probably scared shitless, except for you. You have... insurance, to ensure you won't get hurt. 

You sigh. Well, if the demons don't kill you, your master sure will.

"Are you sure this is safe...?" You whisper to the friend stupid enough to accept the dare, forcing you along with them.

"We're going to be fine, don't worry Y/N! It's not like the ruler of the Demon City is gonna be there!" They turn to you and smile, putting a finger over their lips as they walk in front of you.

You wince at their words. "You're going to jinx it..." You sigh, following your friend as they sneak along the dark moon-lit path. It's creepy, walking along a forest path at night, especially when you're going to somewhere like the Demon City. 

After a short while, you start to smell blood.

"W-Wait, I think something's wrong..." You call out. You turn around, but you can't see your friend anymore. 

"Hello...?" 

You walk forwards a few steps, only for the smell of blood to get stronger. You cover your mouth with your sleeve, trying not to gag. 

You take a few more steps forward, only to be met with the sight of your friend screaming in horror. 

"Whats wrong?!?" You run forwards, trying to see what scared them.

Only for you to deadpan, staring at your friend. 

"It's just a goblin..."

"It's just a goblin who happens to be eating a squirrel!" They shout back, running away.

"Screw this, I'm out of here!"

You sigh into your hand. "You owe me." You watch as their silhouette slowly disappears into the shadows. Once they're gone, you smile and kneel down in front of the goblin. You pat it's head, watching as it purrs in happiness.

"Can you call your master for me?" You ask it.

It nods reluctantly, sad to lose the headpats. You watch as it runs into the trees.

You sit down in the middle of the clearing, letting out a little huff. The grass it kind of wet... it must have rained recently.

Suddenly, you feel arms around you. You lean back and smile, looking into the person's eyes.

Yeah, that's right... your insurance was the fact that you're dating the ruler of the Demon City.

Shura Kidomaru stares down at you with loving eyes, kissing you on your forehead.

"Well, this is a nice surprise..." He whispers as he buries his head in your neck. You feel his breath tickling your ear. 

"Nice to see you too." You say, leaning back in his arms. You haven't really told anyone about this, mostly because the town you live in has a deep rooted hatred for Kidomaru, ever since he lived there when he was a kid and massacred the citizens. It was hard for you to get over that at first, but he's just so nice... and he's pretty hot too.
