The war is finally over...
The Dominian Republic's People and Soldiers were mysteriously disappeared like a bubble, the high command were curious where they've gone off to.
The soldiers speculated that they're planning a guerilla attack but most of the soldiers celebrated the ending of the war.
It was a relief that this war is finally over and I can get back home now, I really regret leaving my family back at our home and I owe them an apology after what I did. I spent my time in the medical wing to heal the injured Nusians, during my break times I often read books to kill time.
I can't help but wonder where the Dominian Republic's People and Soldiers went off to? Is there something that the high command doesn't want us to know? I just can't help but wonder about it.
After I go home, I'll continue and pursue my studies and someday I'll become a Pharmaceutical Scientist, I always have the passion in creating medicines and drugs just like what my parents taught me and I guess I want to follow my parents' future.
After my break time was over I continued my job and healed the Nusians to bring them into their normal shape, but I was interrupted by a soldier coming into the medical wing and went to me.
"Gaia, congrats you're going home now" the soldier said
I really couldn't believe it, I am actually going home now, my eyes are starting to glimmer but I couldn't help but look back at my patients and I needed to heal them.
"Don't worry about your patients you'll be replaced by another medic" he added
Well that's a relief, I started to pack my things up, my weapons, my contraptions, my medical gloves, my Vitasaw and my picture along with the Nusian Superunits. Once I was done I went out of the medical wing and I saw a bus waiting for me outside, I went inside to the bus and sat on the front seat of the bus, I also noticed that these soldiers in this bus are way younger, presumably the same age as me, I guess the Nusian High Command wanted to get the young ones go home before the grown ups. At least I'll be able to get home earlier.
The bus started moving and I felt a sense of relief and comfort that I was actually going home. No more nightmares, no more killings, no more nothing.
The bus often stops at the designated dropoffs where the soldiers went down and were greeted by their parents, friends and loved ones but some weren't and walked away.
The bus kept doing this over and over again until I was the last one on the bus. My house is getting near and I was nervous about it. I was thinking what would I need to tell them? Should I apologize first before explaining why I left our home? My mind was flooded with questions and answers until the bus stopped and the bus driver called me out.
This was it... I stepped down to the bus and drove away, I slowly went to our entrance door and I hesitated to ring the doorbell, I reached out for my bag to get my Vita Injector to calm myself down and injected it on my neck and the effects started to overwhelm my body. I rang our doorbell and waited outside for a few minutes and then the door opened, it was my mom opened the door and I could tell her eyes she was shocked and happy to see me.
"Creste, Is that you?" Creste's mom said
"Yeah, it's me... Look uh... I know you're mad at me for I left our home unannounced but I've got a rea-"
I was cut off by my mom and instantly hugged me
"Don't worry, I really understand what you thought before, just don't do it again... We really thought you were gone off the war... I'm so glad you were safe."
Oh boy that's where my mom got it wrong.
"Uh, well... I actually got drafted in the war but don't worry I became an Elite medic but... I may have killed a lot of Dominian Soldiers." I said
My mom's expressions were truly priceless as she heard that but at least I got home safe.
"Well... We can't do anything about it, come on Creste let's get inside and I'll make you your favorite dish! Oh and your father will be so happy to see you come home!" My mother cheered
I am happy that I got home and got a loving family.
I went to my room and opened my briefcase and went to look at my Superunit's picture and put it on the wall. I am glad that I met them in my life. I put my briefcase below my bed so no one can find my weapons and my medigun gloves.
My mom called me out from the kitchen and went down to eat my favorite dish that she had made, I quickly looked at the picture again and smiled.
I gently closed the door and went downstairs.
