It was September 12,2022 it was the second week of school for Ann's daughter who was just starting first grade in a totally new school.
Ann's Husband Jay dropped their daughter off at the crosswalk and waited for Daisy to cross the street when the crosswalk ladies gave her the go ahead, when Daisy got to the other side of the street, she all the sudden started crying, the crosswalk ladies knelt down beside her and said, "what's wrong honey don't you want to go to school?" the little girl started crying harder and whispered, "I miss my mommy." Jay passionately still waiting at the crosswalk saw that his little girl was crying and was very concerned he rolled up his car windows turned off the car and walked a crossed the street and knelt down beside her, when daisy told her daddy what was wrong he tried his best to comfort his little girl but it didn't work so he pulled out his phone and called Ann so he could communicate what was going on with their daughter.
When Ann found out what was going on she put her shoes on grabbed her wallet and walked out of her parents' house and ran eight blocks to the school. When Ann got there, she crossed the street and ran to daisy with tears running down her face like she was scared to go to school, Ann and Jay had to walk Daisy into the gated area of the field, so she would be safe to sit and have a conversation with a counselor and her parents.
When they got into the field they sat in the grass and tried to figure out why she was so hesitant to go to class, but daisy kept saying she didn't want to talk about it and she just wanted to go home, but that wasn't an option so Ann and the consoler made an agreement that Jay would stay in his car and Ann would try and get Daisy to come into the school, they played hopscotch and wall ball trying to get Daisy to feel comfortable.
See Ann and Jay transferred Daisy to a new school after she graduated kindergarten because their daughter was being bullied by three different kids at once, one little boy had punched Daisy in the face in the library and one day at recess three kids ganged up on her and pushed her against a tree and pushed her to the ground, so Daisy stood up and did what she thought would be appropriate and defended herself against the bully's. So that's why Daisy was struggling to allow her parents to leave because she didn't feel protected at any school she went to because her old school allowed the bullies to get away with it and Daisy got in trouble instead.
When Ann finally got Daisy to go into the school with her Ann said, "let's go inside and sit with the school counselor okay honey" Daisy said "okey Mommy" when they went into the counselor's office Daisy calmed down and allowed her mommy to leave.
When Ann got to the car her mom was there now concerned so Ann got into her mom's truck and texted Jay to fill him in about riding back with her mom and to meet them back at her parent's house. Ann filled Susie in on what had happened at the school and why she rushed out of the house so quickly, When Jay arrived back at Anns parents' house he played the voicemail he had on his phone from his parents, it was Jay's dad asking him to either call him back or to come over, so he and Jay and Ann could have a talk. So, Jay asked if Ann wanted to go with him to talk to his dad and Ann said Yes.
The moral of it all is that Jay's parents and Ann didn't always get along and neither did Jay and his dad. Jay's dad used to gamble all the time to the point they didn't have much money and his mom was used to be an alcoholic they never were there for Jay like they should have been, and they picked favorites between their four kids, Jay always got the crap end of the stick. His dad would beat him with shoe's and call him names like "you're a piece of shit" or "you're stupid" he even made him walk to school in the snow and sometimes even in the rain, but that's not all Jay's dad was an Altamont pervert as well, he once told Ann's dad Eugene that " Ann and her sister needed curtains" because he could see them "naked"."
