Hey! Sorry for dropping out like that but I visited family out of my hometown and I didn't have WiFi. The data I had were for my phone and didn't dare to try to make my phone a hot-spot so my computer to have WiFi.

However, I did work on creating more chapters for this story. And for those who are reading my Be Somebody story I have good news; I have been writing the 25th chapter and I believe in a month or a few days I might be done and posting so keep an eye out!

Moreover, I want to thank you so much for all the kudos, favourites, followings and comments throughout Ao3, Wattpad and Fanfiction.net! Seeing them in my email inbox was making my day! Keep 'em coming! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this chapter!

To enhance your reading experience, I recommend listening to Boa-Duvet while reading this chapter. I hope you enjoy it.

Enjoy!

She's been avoiding Enzo's phone calls. To the point that even Slater and Finn kept telling her to just answer him!

"I will when I'm ready!!!!" She blew up at Finn one day after he started pressing her to answer Enzo's calls.

"You are an agent now and Enzo is your handler, either you like it or not, you have to answer to him. Keep it professional you don't have to forgive him." Finn added not bothered by her blow up.

She was getting ready for the decade dance, a dance that in the original timeline should have happened two weeks ago.

"Alright, I call him tomorrow." She sighed annoyed and kept fixing her hair, dressed up in a blue shirt, ankle jeans, a headband and red scarf with sneakers. Trying to be on theme.

"You look beautiful tonight." Finn said as he stood behind her and smiled his eyes showing how in love he was and Elena met his gaze through the mirror her eyes the reflecting the same love back. Elena turned around and kissed him and he kissed her back.

"Lena...we can't..." Finn tried to stop her and Elena sighed displeased but she stopped.

Since the car crash hadn't happened so the Noah, a vampire that stalked her, didn't stalk her or at least just waiting for the dance to make his appearance. And she was ready now, trained. But now she had to keep an eye for Ben, their old classmate, turned by Anna who hadn't showed up. So, there was a chance Ben was still human and not a threat.

At the dance she went with Stefan. The party was as expected yet as she watched Jeremy serve the paunch and laugh with Caroline who was dressed in her timeline-appropriate outfit. Returning back from being held hostage for a week she felt like an alien and her friends had believed the excuse of bad weather delay. Thank god for vampiric blood because the militia had done a number on her. She tried to be her old self but she felt herself grow darker.

Miriam and her kept in touch talking on the phone when one of them couldn't sleep or woke from nightmares. They had grown closer than she expected.

She found herself overwhelmed by the lights and people so she excused herself and went to the bathroom , washed her face and then called Miriam.

"Hey, how is the dance?" Miriam's British accent rang through the phone.

"It's nice but I can't be around so many people anymore...I want to go home." Elena said seriously as she slid down and sat on the floor.

"I know the feeling." Miriam chuckled sadly and Elena copied the chuckle.

"Any royal duties that you messed up today?" Elena asked a bit amused and Miriam chuckled.
