Hello!!! Two updates after not updating for so long! Well, I wanted to upload sooner but I couldn't upload because Ao3 had issues and didn't trust starting the process of uploading only to have it corrupt. Plus I didn't want to upload in one site and leave the rest behind, I like how I'm on the same chapter across websites on this stories.
Plus, life has been a bit crazy and I'm so stressed out at the moment!
Anyways, thank you again all for reading this story and liking it! It means the world to me!
With this chapter I suggest listening to: Echos - Vacant.
Enjoy!!!
The next morning Elena texted Stefan to come pick her up."I need to talk to you." Elena said seriously and Stefan tensed as she turned to face her in the car.
"What is it?" Stefan asked laughingly oblivious.
"I want to break up, Stefan." Elena stated bravely and Stefan looked confused and concerned.
"What? Why?" Stefan exclaimed taken aback.
"Because, Stefan, we barely spend time together because of my life. It's unfair to you and me. Most of the time we spent together we do so as friends and everything is fine. I think it's a sign that we are better as friends." Elena said pretending to be seriously hurt by the whole thing.
Stefan was quiet for a bit before he sighed in defeat and nodded.
"You're right..."
"I am?"
"Yes, with your grieving group, school and all we barely see each other one on one, and when we do spend time together it feels like you're somewhere else. So, it's better we stay friends." Stefan said not really bothered by her request.
"So, we are good?" She asked surprised.
"Yeah!" Stefan exclaimed and his tone became a bit too high pitched that Elena started to doubt. Seeing that she thought it would be safer to get out of the car now before Stefan start being psychotic suspicious about her.
"Great talk then, see you at school I guess. Thank you for all the good memories, I'm sorry we couldn't last." Elena said genuinely as she exited the car and Stefan nodded.
"Right back at you!" Stefan said covering how bothered he was before driving away.
Caroline drove her to school that day and the week went on.
With this and that, the time for Klaus' arrival came and Elijah paid her a visit telling her it's time.
Elena packed her things and set the timeline for all the videos to be sent out and had sent the letters through the post office. In Elijah's mansion which impressed her and the little corner of herself where she had always been fascinated by architecture and interior design.
"Klaus, said he'd be in here by the end of the day so get comfortable once he's here we will discuss things further." Elijah let her know and Elena nodded as she followed orders and went upstairs to look through the rooms to pick.
"Everything will be okay." Finn told her once she chosen a room and started unpacking.
She smiled sadly and nodded since they both knew Elijah could be listening in.
She spent the day exploring the house until Elijah told her that the werewolf and vampire had arrived and were in the cellar. A few hours later she was told that take out had arrived and she ate by herself.
