The Riddles

Y/N POV

I woke up and rolled out of bed. Was I looking forward to school, no. I got changed and grabbed my books and proceeded to make my way to the main hall for breakfast.

I was making my way to the great hall when I bumped into Hermione, Ron and Harry.

"Sorry guys." I said.

"It's alright." Ron said.

We started walking to the hall.

"How come you never told us you were a riddle?" Harry asked.

"Uhm. Well you see. I knew my family name had a bad reputation and I was scared I'd lose the friends I had just made." I said.

"You really thought we would befriend you?" Hermione asked.

"I did yes. Most people do. Anyway, I take it this Tri-Wizard Tournament is a big thing?" I asked.

"It's a huge thing! It get's hosted every year and we were just so lucky to be hosting it." Ron states.

"Is it...deadly?" I asked.

"Yeah. One of the reasons there is a minimum age requirement." Hermione said.

"Shame there is an age limit. It would've been a fun thing to experience." I said.

"Fun?! You think that's be fun?!" Ron exclaimed.

"Yeah, wouldn't you think it'd be fun?" I asked.

"Yeah, no. You don't even know what all the challenges are." Harry stated.

"Ooh, surprises. I don't mind a good surprise." I casually said. They all just looked at me. "What?"

"You had eyes on you during the ceremony." Harry said.

"Well I'd expect that." I replied.

"No but like on you the whole time. Even after the ceremony." Ron added.

"I mean I did see a some fit folk staring at me but surely it isn't that hard to see that I'm stunning." I said.

"You're very confident aren't you?" Hermione said.

"I'd say I am. But tell me, I saw this one boy. He was wearing yellow and had a red tint to his cheeks. Don't suppose you know who that is?" I asked.

"That's Cedric Diggory, why?" Hermione asked.

"Just wondering. He's pretty good looking." I said.

"Bloody hell Y/N. You're already crushing on people and it hasn't even been yout first full day." Ron said.

"Well, when there are good looking people around you, it's hard not to crush on someone." I said.

"Well you aren't wrong there. I mean, maybe Diggory has a crush on you." Hermione said.

"I doubt it." I said.

"Did you not see the way he was looking at you yesterday?" Harry said.

"Well...yeah, I did but it doesn't mean anything." I said.

"Speaking of Cedric, there he is, giving you the same look as yesterday." Hermione said.

"Y/N, are you warm?" Ron asked.

"No? Why?" I responded.

"Oh just wondering as your cheeks have turned red." Ron said.

"Shit." I mumbled.

"Just smile at him." Hermione said. I took her advice and smiled to which got a smile in return. My heart started beating quicker.
