I was just chilling with Ron, Hermione and Harry in the courtyard and someone called my name.

"Y/N!" A voice shouted in the distance.

"Shit. It's Cedric. What do I do? Do I look okay?" I asked. Before they could respond he was already behind me.

"Oh, hi Cedric." I said.

"Do you mind if I speak to you for a minute." He asked. I looked at the three of them and they all gave a slight nod.

"Sure." I replied. He grabbed my hand and there I was walking away with Cedric. Never thought i'd live to see the day.

So many thoughts were going through my mind. I could feel my heart pounding and my cheeks starting to go warm. We stopped on the bridge and he turned me to look at him.

"Why did you want to speak to me?" I asked.

"I wanted to ask you, if you'd like to attened the Yule Ball with me." He said. I looked around.

"Me? Uhm... I'm lost for words. I'd love to! But why me out of all people?"

"Well you're cute, you seem like a funny girl, since you've been at Hogwarts you have caught my eye and I like you." He listed. I kid you not, my heart was about to burst out of my chest.

"Your too kind. I also like you. So, I'd love to attened the ball with you." I said with a smile beaming on my face.

"Great. I'll get you outside the great hall at 7." He said.

"Alright. I'll see you later then." I said.

"See you later, Y/N." He said and walked away. I sprinted back to Ron, Hermione and Harry.

"You'll never guess what!" I shouted whilst running up to them.

"What did he ask you Y/N?"

"Must've been something good since you have a huge smile on your face." Ron said.

"He asked me to be his date to the Yule Ball!" I exclaimed.

"That's amazing Y/N!" Hermione said.

"What did you say?" Harry asked.

"Yes, of course! It turns out he likes me and finds me cute as well!" I cried.

"That's amazing! We're all very happy for you." Hermione said.

"Thank you guys. Have yous got your dates yet?" I asked.

"No." They all said.

"Hey Y/N. Quick question. Why do girls always travel in packs?" Harry asked.

"Uhm well for starters we aren't animals so we don't travel in packs but we do travel in groups. We always need at least one other person to do things like, get each others opinions on things, go to the bathroom because the more people the safer you are etc. Why?" I asked.

"It's nothing big." He said.

"Okay then." I said

"Can we go get dinner now?" Ron asked.

"Is that all you think about?" Hermione asked.

"No." He replied.

We arrived at the hall and I went and sat next to Astoria and told her everything that happened earlier.

"No way. That's amazing! Who knew he liked you too!" She said excitedly.

"Not me. I never knew he liked me! I'm still star struck. This doesn't feel real. I feel like I'm dreaming. I hope I'm not though. Speaking of Yule Ball dates, do you have one?" I asked.
