For as long as I could remember, my brother, Kazuya, took care of me. Our mother had no part in our life other than working at a brothel. He would tell me things were going to be alright, even if they were lies. I know that he did bad things, but it was all for me. Or so he would say.
He had a few run-ins with Mugen, a biker gang that roamed the streets of Chikuni City. It originally started with 5 members but soon grew to over 100. Tatsuya, who was one of the bikers had left to start his own business. He was a good person and helped Kazuya when he was low. The leader of Mugen, Kohaku, had no idea about his own members selling drugs and doing bad stuff under his nose. He didn't even know that Kazuya was roped into it.
He told me that he would be back that day when the rain was coming down worse than it ever did, but he didn't. I tried to find him back then but I couldn't. I had my thoughts that Mugen was in on it and that something bad had happened to my brother. So there I was, fighting a bunch of their members with my mask over my nose so they couldn't tell I was a girl. I mean, it wasn't like they would be able to tell at all since my chest didn't start growing until a year after I "disappeared" but you probably didn't need to know that.
This went on for two years. I just wanted answers and I still do. Hell, I even fought the Amamiya brothers who were skilled in martial arts because I felt like they were also in on it. But now, I'm here. Standing in front of Chikuni City once again. Things have changed and so have I.
My hair blew in the wind that smelled like old burnt buildings and the occasional sweet smell of wagashi. I had not entirely missed Chikuni City but it was slightly nice to be back. The old smell of this place was wagashi and the smell of the bay area. Now there were new smells and sounds. If you really listened you could hear people talking and sometimes even fights. There was some things about this place that I had noticed. No Mugen but new gangs.
My thoughts ran wild, the only thing I truly was back for was to find my brother as I ran into a dead end in Little Asia. My left hand was placed under my head, holding it up as I stared off the rooftop of a building that showed some of the area. I focused on a little bakery that Kazuya and I use to visit when we had money, he'd always get pocky and I would just get a cupcake.
The door to the rooftop creaked open, two girls walking in. One out of breath and the other tapping away at her phone.
"Takeshi-Chan, we have some information about why Chikuni City is so different now." The female out of breath with short hair spoke, her hair matted to her sweat filled face. "Bunko-Sama, tell her. I'm out of breath."
The taller female looks away from her phone, sighing. "Mugen disbanded, the remaining members created Sannoh Rengokai." She pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing, "Five gangs were created, and they call themselves SWORD."
My eyebrows perked up. Bunko waiting for a sign to continue. I wave my hand.
"Sannoh Rengokai, White Rascals, Oya High, Rude Boys, and Daruma Ikka. Sannoh is run by Hino Junpei with members Yamato, Dan, and Tettsu. From the looks of it, they have a baby in their squad now, name is Chiharu." She runs a hand through her hair.
