Silence. It was all I could think about after seeing the situation that unfolded right before my eyes. Murayama on the ground, bloody and bruised, multiple Oya Highschool members around him. Seki telling him to get up. Cobra, also bloody and bruised, standing as the victor of this fight. Yamato and the other Sannoh members looking at the boy on the ground. Members of Oya High started to get up, ready to fight Sannoh Rengokai before someone yelled.
"Stop!" Murayama waved his hand, signaling to let them go. "They won."
Seki, who has now started crying, kept mumbling.
Murayama patted Seki's shoulder, "Can't graduate yet."
As much as I wanted to help my friend, I chose to instead, jog out of Oya High. My feet slightly picking pace up more and more as I got closer to the entrance. I saw Bunko's tan jacket and Akumu's short black hair. I didn't realize until I passed them that I was running.
I stopped, gaining my breath again. Turning only slightly before being gripped harshly by a much taller man. I looked up, taking in his features. Slicked back black hair, clean-shaven face, furrowed brows, and a watch on his left hand. He, like me, also was trying to get his breath back. I realized that it was Furuya.
I shoved his hands off me, looking behind him to see Sannoh getting out of Oya and Seki running towards us with Murayama on his back.
"Don't you ever put your hands on me unless you want to land on your ass." I spoke, turning my eyes back up to meet Furuya's. "I mean that."
Furuya's mouth opens to say something before Seki interrupts, "We saw you, why did you run away?"
In contrast to Furuya's much more fit body, Seki was different. He was big and bulky, much like a wrestler. Although they may be Oya's strongest, they were much different from each other.
"I had no intentions on staying." I respond, my eyes wondering to the bloody man on Seki's back.
"You never have intentions." Murayama's voice, although slightly weak, interrupts the atmosphere.
"I do have intentions, I just don't tell anyone what they are or who they are for. You would know that Murayama." I groaned, playing with my hands. Sitting here, talking with them, when I could be finding more on Kazuya was making me impatient. I go to turn around, a hand grabs my shoulder.
"Furuya stop."
WACK!
I punched him square across the face, he stumbles back a bit before regaining his posture. Furuya cracks his knuckles, ready to start a fight before a voice is raised.
"I said STOP." Murayama, who was laying on Seki's back, is now standing although he could fall at any moment. He's staring at Furuya but takes his eyes off him to look at me. He stumbles closer to me.
"Don't come to Oya High ever again Takeshi-Chan," he pauses, looking back at Furuya. "If you know what is best for you."
What is best for you is code word for I don't want you around.
I stare at Murayama in bewilderment. He doesn't even turn back around to glare at me, just starts walking back to Oya. I blink a few times. Seki mouths sorry before following him. Furuya who hadn't started walking away just looks at me.
"You should leave. I hope you find your brother however." He grimaces, leaving.
I just stand there, staring at the back of my best friend.
That night was the last night I ever saw Kazuya.
"Hey, Yami, I'll be back alright? I've got something to do." He paused on the word do, seeming to take a moment before walking out the door, practically racing. His now blue hair getting farther and farther away.
I had stayed awake all that night, not bothering to sleep. My gut told me multiple things, but one was that he wasn't going to come back.
I remember that after he didn't come back that day, I went and cried in Rocky's shoulder. He was the only person that completely understood being abandoned.
Murayama spent the whole next day comforting me and making me laugh.
But those happy moments were only lived for a short time. When I got home, I found my mom in her bed. Any kid would think she was sleeping but it was four in the afternoon.
"Mom?" I shook her, she didn't wake up.
"Momma? Momma!" I kept shaking her, hoping she would wake up at some point but she never did.
A little girl, sitting beside her deceased mother's bed, crying. Curled into a little ball on the floor, knees to her chest, eyes flooding with tears.

This chapter is short for a reason as the next chapter will be longer! Very sorry for the previous chapter and this chapter being short. Thank you all for your support! I'm very happy for the 234 reads and the 9 votes!
An announcement: I have 2 more stories I'm working on that are not from SWORD era but from the worst era. Those won't be coming out until I've at least gotten 10 chapters done on both. However there is a 3rd story that will be staying private until I'm ready to publish it.
Again thank you all!
