Eden was one of the few planets that was destroyed, during Evermore's conquest sometime after the fall of nations.

It's also the planet where the Tarnished were created, and Jin's home planet.

Thanks to the Aeon of Abundance the planet was healed, and in return Jin swore vengeance against Evermore.
However, like the Mara struck the tarnished were in a similar problem. Only with Jin being the only able to make and expand the tarnished by the numbers.

Jin's Tarnished form:

Jin was found by Himeko (not in his tarnished form), on a broken down ship. It originally was used by Jin so he could locate Evermore, but eventually ran out of oxygen and life support. Which he was rescued by her and he decided to join the life as a trailblazer.

From there he traveled with them, got to make friends and learn more to life. He almost forgot about his original plan to find Evermore, until they did.
Seeing Evermore reignited his hate and be remembered why he was there in the first place.

Although he hopes the express and everyone he cares about stay out of his way, but has no intention of harming them unless he has too.
