Shamuth is the Aeon of Desolation which makes Evermore more of a puppet/Emanator. It only became the aeon after Nanook tried to destroy it.
Shamuth is considered an inter-dimensional anomaly, being found in honkai star rail, Wuthering waves...and so on.
The entity has claimed many victims, even Tora a fellow companion of James.
Once it takes over the host it will go into a frenzy, and devour everyone in sight.
Shamuth is incapable of proper speech often saying what it is doing. It can look back in the memories of its past victims, and others to help with its deceptive tactics.
Evermore is the current host the parasite and she was tasked with finding a new host. At least, that was what she was promised if she completed this task. That host she sadly picked was Caelus, however after spending time with him for a short while.
She began to regret her choice and instead decided to ruin the plan. However, it went down hill when they changed worlds.
When she realized they unexpectedly got separated, she felt free and happy then. However; when Jin was captured is she when decided to give up that happiness.
She accepted Shamuth even though he was very angry with, and took control and wanted to toy with the express crew.
Shamuth is capable of hurting and taking control of the host, as seen with evermore. It can break her bones and force herself to kill herself.
If the host does die as long its core is not burned, it can go and possess another person.
