ISLA LUCIDITY (BFDI au fanfiction)

(CHAPTER 6): first a flicker, then a fire

Everything was completely still.

Deep dark maroon blood was slowly flowing from the disembodied leg over the top window as Chloe screamed her lungs out in pure horror, the metallic creaking was getting obnoxious as it went over all the other sounds in the area, from the light patter of the rain to Chloe's yelling.

They knew who the leg belonged to.

It belonged to Pierce.

Before everyone could fully process what had happened, they started hearing a rhythmic set of thuds, they were slowly getting louder and louder with each passing second, and more powerful aswell, since Rachel noticed a puddle of water outside rippling with the thuds.

"Oh my god- oh my god!" Chloe was panicking at this point as she put her hands in her hair and tugged on it.

"Chloe! calm down! everything is gonna be ok!-" Issac tried to speak.

"HOW IS EVERYTHING GONNA BE OKAY?! DONT YOU SEE WHAT IS ON TOP OF OUR JEEP RIGHT NOW?!-"

There was a sudden snapping noise.

The visitors looked over and felt their blood go cold as they realise one of the enclosures wires had snapped, something had broken them.

"..Does anyone smell smoke?" Bianca mumbled.

In the corner of her eye, Bianca suddenly saw a orange glow nearby as she turned around, once she saw what it was, her heart immediately stopped.

Right next to everyone was a gigantic, living blaze of pure fire, it was almost as tall as a entire house and the movement of its body was like the beginning of a destructive forest fire before it starts to engulf all the trees and animals in flames, aside from its main body, it stood on two pitch black legs with huge, clawed feet at the bottom digging into the ground, it's hands also had similar looking claws.

But it's face.

It's face shown it was hungry, a yellow clear liquid was dripping out of its mouth like saliva from a hungry dog, it's eyes were pure and empty as it stared over, revealing something that was poking out of its jaws:

The rest of Pierces body.

It immediately swallowed the visitors corpse whole after seeing the jeeps as it growled lowly, revealing it's sharp teeth soaked in blood.

"AAAAAAAA- HMPH?!-" Chloes blood curdling screams were cut off as Bianca covered his mouth with her hand.

"Stop screaming! it'll hear you!" Bianca said as Chloe looked over at the flame once again, now noticing it had gotten closer to the fence-

{SNAP!}

Crap, another wire had broke.

"nonononoNONONO-" Jack was speaking to himself as he felt like he was on the brink of a heart attack.

The fire was now having all its focus directly on the jeeps outside of the fence, Issac suddenly noticed it was dripping more of the weird yellow liquid as it stared.

"Uh- sir, what the hell is coming out of its mouth?!" Isaac said to the now-terrified driver.

"..That's gasoline, it only produces that from its mouth when its hungry..." the driver said quietly.

"When was the last time you fed it?.." Isaac asked as a sudden wave of dread went over him.

"..Shit, we forgot to feed it two days ago-"
