Bianca

A pleased smile set on my face while I sat in Matteo's seat, driving his car. I looked at my phone following the directions to the said Bitch Bistro.

I'd messaged Tessa something had come up and I'd be a little late. What I hadn't planned on when I messaged her, was that I'd be an hour late, and how I was going to escape Matteo.

But as we'd gotten out of the car and I'd seen what shit he'd taken us to, I'd seen the perfect opportunity.

I let out a laugh with pride. The idiot didn't think twice before giving me the keys, and even if he didn't he chose the wrong option. And to add to his stupidity, why the fuck did he actually think I'd ever leave my dagger anywhere— especially in his fucking car.

I wish I'd stayed there to see his entire reaction fully because it must have been spectacular. But then I remembered how he is a fucking ice block, and probably just ordered one of his men to bring another car over.

Twenty minutes later I'm standing in front of dark house. The coffee shop is painted in black, and the windows are tinted a shade lighter. I check the map Tessa sent me again, double checking if this really is the bistro.

From afar the small building looks like a black box, and I couldn't even see where the entrance was. Now standing closer, while my — Matteo's car is parked a couple blocks back, I still wasn't sure where the entrance was.

Bianca: You here yet?

Her reply was instant. Yep just give me a minute and I'll be there.

A couple seconds later I heard heels clicking behind me, and I turned around.

"Hey! Oh wow cute outfit." She exclaimed when we made eye contact.

I gave her a smile. "Thanks, you look good too." I said looking at her green skirt and floral crop top.

"Okay, let's go in." She said excitedly.

"Yeah about that... from where?" I asked looking for a door handle.

Tessa laughed then walked towards the black wall and knocked a couple times in a pattern. I raised my eye brow when she looked at me. "I was as confused as you the first time I came here." She said.

The wall split in half, and a door appeared from the black wall. A woman wearing really long high heels and a curly hairstyle opened the door. Her eyes lit up the moment she recognized Tessa and ushered her in.

I followed after her, taking in my surroundings.

Pink.

That's all I could say to describe the place. Completely drenched in all shades of pink. The tables, chairs, walls, flowers, cutlery. Everything was in pink.

I blinked my eyes a couple times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, and then turned to Tessa who was having a conversation with the lady in high heels.

"And who's this?" The lady asked, looking my way.

"She's my friend Bianca, I met her at...." Her voice trailed off, and I quickly added. "At the mall. We had our eyes on the same dress."

The excuse was as mundane as they came, and Tessa nodded simply. Keeping the mafia a secret was common knowledge to anyone who was in the Mafia or had any connection to it.

"Oh honey, well that must have been interesting. Knowing Tessa I'm guessing she won that battle." The lady said laughing.

Before I could nod in agreement, Tessa spoke. "Nope that was one I didn't win. Bianca is very stubborn, especially when it comes to clothes." She looked at me, and I shook my head inwardly while keeping my lips from turning upward.
