"Oh okay. I'll shut up. One thing I really love is to meditate. In fact, I will meditate right here, right now. You know, peace, quiet, sunset, beach..." I crossed my legs on the log and closed my eyes. But I was smiling. Evil Twin Kenjo on the other hand was sneering.
I swear I can feel piercing eyes in my direction. "Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe..." After a brief moment.
"Jen." Came a soft whisper.
"Jen?"
"Yes. And I love Inu-Yasha."
Thank Japan for Inu-Yasha!!! Banzai!!!
"Great. Which part do you like best?" I said with a grin. Pushing too hard, jerk.
"Every part where Kagome commands him and he willingly obeys."
"You mean un-willingly."
She suddenly faced me with a very serious look and said out loud, "DAPA!" (Translation: "On the ground!")
I was a little shocked. Then I roared in controllable laughter. "I guess, Kagome, it doesn't work with this one." I gestured a thumb to my chest.
"Hmp." I was still laughing when she stood up and started to walk away.
Meresi. Shut up. (Translation: That's what you get. Shut up.)
"Wait, Jen. Sorry." I took one big stride and grabbed her hand. She doubled her steps but her right foot was caught on a stray branch. Suddenly she was falling. She grabbed my hand and dragged me down. We were both falling. I tried to protect her so I placed my right hand under her head and my left arm wrapped around her waist to cushion the fall. Then we hit the sand big time.
I expected her to cry in pain. But no sound came, only stillness. It's as if the world stopped when our stars collided. It was only us. Me, her, the fallen tree, the sun, the sea, the waves. I stared at her eyes and it was like staring at eternity.
Nothing ever prepared me for that one fateful kiss. Slowly my lips brushed hers. Soft. Gentle. Sweet...
Now, Superman, get up! Ugh! I was so carried away I forgot our little situation.
"I'm so sorry. Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I was on my feet in a quick movement and I was pulling her up.
"My foot..." Her voice trailed off.
