"Arstin" seryosong tawag ni Kade sa akin. Tiningnan ko lang siya.
"You know anytime he'll come for you right?" I sighed and looked directly into his eyes. I smiled bitterly.
"Since the day I left"
Napakunot naman siya ng noo at umiling.
"So what's your plan? Wait, are you even ready?" nag-aalangan niyang tanong. I sighed again.
"I will never be ready. But I don't have a choice but to deal with him, if ever. And besides, as long as we have Lana and Serina on our back. I know I'm good, still."
"You know what? Maybe it is time for you to leave the spotlight. Quit modeling. You know you've done enough to fulfill your promise to your sister" I stared at him and sighed once again. Why do I keep on sighing anyway?
"I'll think about it" I said.
"Just remember that I'm always here for you. No matter what" he smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Just call me whenever you need me" He tried to pat my head. Pero mabilis ko naman iniwas ang ulo ko. Tumawa lang siya ng mahina sa reaction ko. I find it really annoying. I seriously hate it when somebody touches or messes my hair. But he kept on doing it. The nerve.
"I'll be leaving before I get killed" Nakangisi niyang sabi. Tinanguan ko nalang siya.
Napatingin ako sa labas ng malaking glass window sa unit ko at napaisip.
God, please help me, please give me more time. I'm not yet ready to face him. I can't. For now.

"Cancel it all" pagputol ko kay gerrie na ikinakukot ng noo niya.

"I want to take a rest" I said. Tiningnan niya lang ako ng matagal. I can clearly see the question mark in her eyes. And then she sighed.
"Ohhh-kay. I'll return their payments and will surely pay a lot of penalty fees, my goodness. That's a lot of money. Ugh. But you, young lady, you're gonna pay me bigtime" I smiled.
"Oh sure. Thank you gerrie, you're the best" I hugged her and she hugged me back. I so love this woman. She's like a mom to me.
"I guess I won't be seeing you as often as before. So, take care and stay out of trouble" she said after breaking the hug.
"I will try. See you around" I said. She just laughed at me. When I say I'm going to take a break. Gerrie knows what I meant. Taking a break. For good.
