Today was the day. The past few days have passed by in a blur. Every day has been the same, so it was quite a bore. I'm so stoked for today.

"Alexa! Alex is here, come down now!" My mother shouted from where I assume is the living room.

"Be there in a minute!" With that, I rushed to my bathroom, brushed my teeth and fixed my hair. Then with two steps at a time, I speed walked to the living room, sure enough to see my parents, Anna and Alex talking.

"Morning sleepyhead." Alex grinned at me.

"Morning, what are you doing here so early? I haven't even bathed yet." I asked.

"Well that wasn't hard to notice. I was up at 7, surprisingly and couldn't go back to sleep so tada, here I am." He responded, before taking a bite of my mum's signature sandwich.

"Alexa, you should probably go take a quick shower and leave at 10, don't wanna keep Alex waiting now, do you?" My mum voiced out.

"I don't mind. It's good to know you guys can't wait to get rid of me though, mum." I said sarcastically. She just laughed at my words and I left for a shower.

---

"So, are you ready for the 6 hours drive?" Alex asked as he checked the rear view mirror to reverse.

"It's 5 hours and 45 minutes, Alex. And yeah, I'm freaking excited for this trip like I finally have a break from my boring life." I said in relief.

"Damn right, you do have a boring life." He snorted.

"Oh, just shut up and drive." I retorted before turning the radio on.

---

I felt a nudge on my shoulder. 'Umph' was all I could manage as a reply.

"Lexa, wake up you sleepyhead, we're here." I heard a deep voice say. Huh, sounds familiar.

"Five more minutes, daddy." I said, turning to the other side. Wait what? My dad never wakes me up. With that sudden realization, I slowly opened my eyes, with the light blinding me.

"What the hell, where am I?" I croaked. Like a frog. Just kidding, but my voice was really croaky.

"We're here!" Alex exclaimed, spreading his arms wide open - although not that wide because we were in a car after all - with a huge smile on his face. I rubbed my eyes, adjusting to the bright light shining through the car window.

"Oh wow, this is beautiful." I whispered, mesmerized by the surroundings. I then opened the car door to enjoy the view even more.

"Holy crap, this is really stunning." I whispered to myself once again, taking out my phone to take a panorama of this view. We were currently by the seaside. The sea was pure crystal blue, the sand was really fine and clean. I heard the car door open and Alex came out.

"Man, Sophie would love it here." He said to himself.

"Well, you could take a video of this place and show it to her." I pointed out, before slipping my phone back into my pocket and walking to the boot of his Range Rover to carry my bags.

"Here let the muscly man help you out." Alex offered, taking the backpack off my shoulders for him to carry instead. I was left to carry my small duffel bag.

"Thanks Alex, you're a real charmer." I said sarcastically.

"I know, I know." He grinned, before closing his boot and walking beside me, up to Sara's seaside loft. Yep, you heard me. Sara's seaside loft. She comes from an affluent family, her parents were loaded.
