This is going to be a super short chapter, I'm sorry, but there's a part 2 so I hope that'll make up for it. Plus this is just going to be like a 'pre-date' thing so yeah..

Last thing, please don't be a silent reader guys! I want to know what you think as you read, so leave a comment every now and then!

Hey Sara, sorry to break it to you but my 'hot' friends are all taken. :/ (Good morning Lexa. :))

I smiled as I reread the bracketed sentence. It was currently 10.20 am and the status of the text read he had sent it at 8.45 am. Well, we have an early riser.. I bit my lip to try to contain the huge smile I had as I replied.

Good morning to you too, Rix ;)

Was that too flirty? Will that make him think I am hitting on him? You were, in a way... I thought. Well, I decided to just hit 'send' because why not? I was nervous to see his reply though. While waiting for his response, I occupied myself. I took a shower for 15 minutes and then went to the living room, with my phone in my hand. I didn't dare press my home button to see if I had a new text so I just left it on the kitchen counter next to Alex, who was eating his bowl of cereal. That was the dumbest mistake I have ever made.

"Are you flirting with me?" Alex asked as I opened the fridge. I ignored him and grabbed the milk in it.

"Woah Lexa, you actually texted him first?" Lily enquired, surprise evident in her question.

"What are you on about?" I questioned, confused as to what was happening. As I turned around, I saw the three idiots hovering over my phone with Alex holding it. My eyes widened in shock.

"What the hell guys, you had no right!" I screamed as I snatched my phone away from Alex.

I pressed my home button and the screen lit up. There was a new text from Rix. Sure enough, what he texted was exactly what Alex had said out loud.

"Alexa, I never knew you had the balls to actually initiate the conversation, but I'm proud of you for doing that. This could be the start of something new." Sara smirked.

"Relax you guys, this is nothing, like he is too good looking to actually date, you know?" I convinced them. However, deep down, I hoped I was wrong.

"Sure, Alexa, whatever you say." Alex teased.

"Aren't you supposed to be like the protective guy best friend and like threaten him or something?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Firstly, that was a lot of 'like' in a question and secondly, you're a big girl and you can take care of yourself. Besides, you're a tough ass bitch so that makes my job easier." He shrugged. I smiled at his compliment.

"I think this is the first time we're actually having a civilized conversation." I concluded. With that, I went back to my room, to get some peace and think of what I should reply Rix with.

I sat on the bed, legs crossed and stared at his reply as I carefully thought of what I will say.

Did I mean to flirt with him? I asked myself. Of course I did, I mean that winky face said it all. I sighed. What could he be probably thinking about when he saw the winky face? Did he think I was being weird? Oh my god, I probably was going way too fast. Oh god. Seriously, way to go, Lexa. Keep up the good work of scaring guys away, yeah? I sighed and mentally face-palmed myself. As I was typing a reply, I saw a typing bubble, which meant he was typing something. I immediately erased what I was going to say and waited for his text.

Are you free later at 1pm?

My eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. I was getting a little excited, but which girl doesn't when a guy she maybe kind of like is asking her out?

Are you asking me out on a date, Rix?

I waited for his response.

No, it was simply just a question. Don't start assuming things, Alexa. ;)

Shit. Well, that was embarrassing. I covered my face with my hands and took a deep breath. Shortly after, my phone vibrated, signaling a new text.

Just kidding, maybe I was. :P So are you?

I smiled greedily at this. He was way too cute. I went to the kitchen to see if the trio were there but they were nowhere to be found. Then, I heard laughter coming from the veranda. I quickly walked over there and sure enough, there they were, Lily was laughing over something one of the other two must have said.

"Hey guys, quick question, what are we doing later?" I asked the bunch.

"Um, I think we're just gonna go drive around." Sara replied, looking at me.

"Sounds boring, I think I'm just gonna stay here. You guys go have fun." I quickly said before walking away.

"Yeah if you wanna go with your Prince Charming, just tell us straight up, you don't have to lie about it!" Lily exclaimed. I simply ignored her and walked back to my room. I looked at the clock and it was 11.35 am.

I guess I am. What do you have in mind?

Great. I was counting on you to because my friends bailed on me. I actually don't know, but I thought why waste my time lazing at home when I can hang out with a pretty girl?

I blushed at his compliment. That was really straightforward of him.

So I'm your second choice? That just hurts, Rix. :( Well, I might have to reconsider if you don't have any plan in mind :P

Lies. I would hang out with him even if we were to just sit by the road and watch the cars drive past.

Please, Alexa? Meet me at Tesco at 1pm? :)

Alright fine, since you said please. Why Tesco though?

Because....I don't know.

I rolled my eyes at this. Boys, am I right?

Good reason, Rix. See you there. :)

See you ;)
