Everyone froze and went silent. JANE: "Oops. Looks like I'm a little clumsy tonight, haha. My bad." People chuckled. They were falling right into my trap. Someone turned the lights on and walked to me where the glass had shattered.
Pieces got on my ankles and shins and I was now drastically bleeding. The person who was coming to help, then saw all of my injuries and how badly I was bleeding. PERSON: "Oh my god! What the hell happened to you?! You need to go to the hospital! I'll call 911!"
Aaron heard the person and saw them get out their phone. He panicked and rushed back to me. He took the person's phone and threw it in a cup full of alcohol. PERSON: "Hey! That was my phone! I was going to call for help, Jane looks awful!" No, he ruined my plan. Again.
AARON: "Why don't I take Jane to the hospital? That way, you can go back to the party and have fun. Don't worry about her, I'll take good care of her." No, no, no! This was exactly what I was trying to avoid!
I can't go with Aaron, I know where he'll actually take me. His house. And he'll just continue what he started there. Where nobody will be able to help me. I had to do something. All this anxiety and fear was making me nauseous. No, it was the alcohol.
And I could feel whatever I had drunk come right back up. I threw up right there in front of everyone. Thankfully, I didn't get anything on my shirt, it was pretty clean. The only bad thing was the puke on the floor and the taste in my mouth. I wanted to drink it away with water.
PERSON: "Oh, damn! Here, let me help her to the bathroom. I can get that cleaned off." Aaron put a hand in front of me. He gave the person a deadly stare. AARON: "Don't touch her." The person realized what Aaron was trying to say and backed away. PERSON: "Jeez, sorry. I didn't know you guys were like that." No! Come back, no!
JANE: "H-Help me-" before I could get any louder, Aaron covered my mouth. The person looked at us, confused. PERSON: "Did I just hear her ask for help? What-" AARON: "-No. She's fine with me. Leave us alone." Damion came up to help Aaron.
DAMION: "Oh hey guys! Yeah, anyways... We should really take Jane to the hospital. Don't worry I'll come with them, just to make sure Jane's okay." PERSON: "Isn't this your party though? Why would you leave-" DAMION: "-No, it's fine, really. I'll make sure Jane's safe." The person nodded and walked away.
No! I was so close, I almost got to them. I wiped my mouth and cleaned up the best I could as Aaron moved me behind a door, into the hallway, so nobody could see us. He covered my mouth with one hand and placed the other one underneath my shirt.
He moved it up until he hit the spot where he had marked me. He whispered in my ear... AARON: "Try that again, and I'll take you back upstairs. I'll give you another one of these, you hear me? And next time, I'll go lower." As he said the last part, he moved his hand down further on my breast, moving my bra with his fingers.
My muscles tensed, and I got goosebumps. A wave of fear blew over me. I can't let him get any closer to touching me than that. He gripped the top part of my bra as he whispered to me in a low tone. AARON: "I asked if you heard me." I couldn't answer with my voice, since Aaron was still covering my mouth, so I gave him a slight nod.
He let go of me and walked out to the main area, where everyone was. I still couldn't let him take me, so I had to do something. I wobbled as he pulled me by the elbow with him. It seems as if the alcohol was beginning to flood through my system. I didn't have to act drunk anymore.
AARON: "You're super drunk. That was a dumb move." He helped me to the couch, and sat me down. I stopped him from leaving by gripping the bottom of his shirt. AARON: "What do you want?" I didn't know what came over me. It was probably the alcohol that led to my actions for the rest of the night. All I knew was that I had to reach into that heart, I could feel something there. He's been hiding it so well. It may be because I feel a little drunk, or it may be real. But I can tell he's caring as he sits down on the couch next to me. I gave him a half smile.
AARON: "What are you smiling about?" JANE: "Hmm? Oh, nothing." I was sure that the alcohol was kicking in now, because I didn't know why I laid my head on his shoulder. As I leaned on him, he gave me an annoyed and confused look. But he didn't say anything, and he didn't touch me. He just let me lay on his shoulder. Damion came up to us, and that's when Aaron moved his shoulder.
I sat back up, annoyed. DAMION: "Hey, we're good to go. Is she okay to get up? She did chug a whole bottle of alcohol." Aaron grabbed my elbow again and pulled me up. AARON: "Yeah, she's fine." I flinched and started whining like a little girl. JANE: "N-No. I don't wanna go! I don't feel safe, please leave me alone!" Aaron pulled me to him, putting my face in his chest so that nobody could hear me whining and mumbling.
JANE: "Hey!" AARON: "Shut up, or I'll hurt you. Remember?" His threat didn't sound real, or scary, or like a threat at all. He didn't even say what he was going to do. I hiccuped and started to giggle. JANE: "No you won't. You won't hurt me, Mr. Badman. Cuz I know your secret..." Aaron looked unamused. AARON: "Oh yeah? And what's that?" I leaned so close to him my nose was brushing his neck.
JANE: "You care about me." As I whispered to Aaron in a girly tone, I felt his skin form goosebumps. Aaron didn't reply to my comment, he just moved with me towards the entrance of the house. He and Damion helped me into Damion's car and Aaron started to drive. By the time the situation sinked in, I was out of my little giddy faze. I shook my head to wake myself up.
No... How could I be so stupid? Aaron was right, the alcohol was a dumb move. It made it so much easier for them to take me away, I didn't even resist. But I remembered everything. The sudden surprise in Aaron's heart as I whispered to him on the way out. The goosebumps on his skin... Maybe he really does care about me.
No, if he cared, he wouldn't have hurt me. He wouldn't have done any of this. I'm sitting in the back alone, while Damion is in the passenger seat in front of me and Aaron is in the driver's seat. He's driving somewhere I can't recognize the roads because of how dark it is. He kept looking in the rearview mirror to make sure I wasn't trying to do anything.
I watched as a few cops flew by us with flashing lights... Wait... Crap! No! My eyes darted back to the cars as they turned right into the neighborhood we just left. Emma probably called the cops to get me! And now, I won't be able to get their help.
AARON: "Don't even think about trying to get help from those cops. They already passed us, there's nothing you can do now." He's right. It's too late. At least Emma is safe and sound with the cops. I looked at him with a pouting face. He doesn't know I'm slightly sober at the moment, and I should keep it that way.
JANE: "Where are we going? I wanna go home! I want my bed, I'm tired!" AARON: "Just be quiet. We're almost there." After a few minutes, Aaron pulls into the driveway of his house.
