Thank you for giving Nico and Nina's love story, "With Every Beat of My Heart," a chance. I've been wanting to write this story for over a year, and with your support I was finally given the opportunity to do so. I truly appreciate all your feedback and comments. Your viewpoints and perspectives have helped shape this story.
I also took the opportunity to address some of your concerns, regarding Alex and Athena, within this story. I considered changing the ending to "Till the End of Time," but –after some thought– I decided to keep it the way it was. Ultimately, it felt more real to address things in this manner. Whenever we are in a relationship and in love, it is normal to quickly forgive our partner for hurting us. However, forgiveness does not mean the pain magically disappears. I felt like their story would be more realistic and genuine if I demonstrated the struggles they faced after Athena forgave Alex and gave him a second chance. I created Alex's jealousy scene to serve as a trigger for Athena, and force them to face their problems. After all, once trust is broken in a relationship, it is a long and arduous path to rebuilding it. I hope that this served as closure for you regarding their story. But, don't worry, they will be making appearances in the next Angelos series novelette.
