Shinobu's POV
______________ ✦I was looking around my empty room. My bed was gone, leaving an area of dust where it used to be. The clothes from my closet were now gone, all my toys were packed into boxes, books and my coloring supplies were also gone. My room was empty now. I watched as dust flakes fell from the ceiling. I sighed. Today was the day I moved to Osaka, I had said goodbye to Tomioka yesterday, Sabito left before I could tell him..
My older sister Kanae had a lot of friends and seemed upset aswell. My parents however, seemed happy about the new change. After all, it was a promotion. And a new city."Shinobu dear! It's time to leave, the moving van drivers are getting impatient!" I heard my father yell for me. I said goodbye to my room for the final time, before I'd leave for good. I felt tears swell up in my eyes, but I had to be a big girl. I wiped them away and ran downstairs, slamming the door open, and getting into my seat. Kanae seemed to be asleep. And my dad waved to the moving trucks. This was it. Goodbye.
I reached into my pocket, I remember when Tomioka gave me that popsicle stick with the funny joke carved into it. Ever since he gave it to me, I'd read it. Giggling and laughing at the joke. I reached into my pocket-"Eh?"
It wasn't there.. it wasn't there!? Why!? I kept it in my pocket all the time! Did I lose it!? No.. no that's the only memory of Tomioka I have left!
"What's wrong dear?" my mother asked.
"I.. I lost my popsicle stick! The one with the hotdog joke!" "Oh?" she giggled. I pouted. It wasn't funny!
"It's fine dear, you'll find another one I'm sure."
"N-No! That one was from Tomioka, it was the last thing of his, the last memory of him!" I whined. My father started to drive, pushing down on the gas peddle. "It's fine dear, all the memories of Tomioka are still in your brain. Besides, you'll make new friends and eventually forget about Tomioka." he said to me. I clenched my fists, feeling angry. My father was never that fond of Tomioka, I guess it was because Tomioka's a guy and he was never fond of me be sorrounded by guys at a young age. Ugh..I looked at the window. Cherry blossoms blowing by in the breeze. Ah, I forgot. It was cherry blossom season! Man, it would've been cool to see the cherry blossoms with Tomioka..
But he's gone now..
Gone.

_____________Giyu sat on the retaining wall. Eating a grape flavored popsicle. "There's nothing to do.. wait.. Shinobu!" he wasn't sure if Shinobu left yet, this would be the perfect chance to see her! He ate the remaining grape slush off of the popsicle stick. "This would be the perfect time to give her the popsicle stick she lost too!" He smiled and jumped off of the wall. Running to Shinobu's house.
The whole run there, all he could think of was Shinobu. Her cute babyish voice, her large and buggy eyes, and that cute smile she had.
