Third person pov

It had been a month since their vacation. Arthit is back to bagging contracts left and right. He thinks himself as just another employee in the company but his CEO claims he is indeed a valuable gem. At least his company recognizes that much.

Arthit is currently in the CEO office.
"Arthit, You know how Suthilak enterprise is celebrating their 107th anniversary this Thursday? We are also invited to the celebration. Unfortunately I can't attend it due to personal reasons. So I would like you to take your team there. My daughter will represent our company. What do you say?"

Suthilak? Really?
His boss is asking him if he can go. He is humble that way. But can Arthit really refuse just because he is being requested? Gem or not, he is still an employee, all he can do is agree to it.

"Yes sir. We will attend the celebration in your stead" He replied.

"Thank you Arthit. You people may stay for the after party. Take the next day off too. But just keep a watch on Sheryl, she is a light weight" His boss chuckled making Arthit join too.

Arthit bowed and excused himself from there.

Just when he thought everything is over, fate is playing a different game. Will he have to meet Kongpob again? How will he react?

*

The celebration was smooth so far. Arthit came with his team who worked in the Suthilak renovation. He slid smoothly around business tycoons, introducing himself and his company, subtly making connections worth his time.

Connections- it's what most of the people come to places like these for. So far Arthit's been doing that quite well.

But internally, he just wants to go home and bury inside his blankets.
But he can't, with Sheryl by his side. She is been going on and on about how the young heir of Suthilak is so handsome and charming and all over the place.
And he can't even deny it.
The young heir of Suthilak, Kongpob, indeed had a magnetic look that day.

"Mr. Rojnapat, glad to meet you after a long time."
Arthit turned to see Mr. Suthilak smiling brightly at him. He really like this man. Such a humble soul despite coming from old money.

"Yes sir, glad to meet you too. Congratulations on the 107th anniversary"

"Thanks young man. Let me introduce you to my son, though you might have met him already...... Kongpob!"
He called out to his son, who walked towards them like he is the main character...that he is. Somehow Arthit's heart beat sped up.

"Son, meet Mr. Rojnapat. Arthit, this is my son Kongpob"

Kong looked at him all business-like with a fake smile, "Nice to meet you Mr. Arthit. Actually we already know each other dad. Mr. Arthit here is the one did our electric renovation this year"

If Arthit frowned mentally, he did not show it outside.

"Finally you took my advice seriously. Mr. Arthit here has real potential. It will be good for our company to associate with people like him" Mr. Suthilak smiled warmly.

"Sir thank you, but it was all thanks to my teammates and of course our CEO" Arthit smiled gratefully.

"Will definitely father. Now kindly excuse me" Kong left the place with a polite nod at him. All business like -again.

He excused himself too.

He had been here for 2 hours already. But not once did Kongpob acknowledge him other than that curt smile.

"Arthit it's time for afterparty. Let's go" He totally forgot that he is babysitting this big baby.

"Sheryl... Just in case if you have forgotten, no alcohol for you today. Let's wrap it up here"
