PLUTONIUM IS EXTREMELY dangerous. That's why Marty had to stay near the car, watching the two work. Marty worried from afar. The McFly has seen these two make countless clumsy mistakes together. Maybe this time a clumsy mistake won't be the type to laugh at like the usually do. Marty bit his nails watching the two carefully work. Underneath both of those suits were two clumsy goofs playing around with plutonium.
"Safe now, everything's let lined." Doc announced, taking off the head protection. Emma followed. "Don't you lose those tapes now!" Doc yelled, pointing to Marty who could finally breathe again. "we'll need a record." Emma followed the Doc around like a headless chicken. Who wouldn't be? "Wup! I almost forgot my luggage. Who knows if they've got cotton underwear in the future. I'm allergic to all synthetics." Doc blabs on, placing his luggage in the car.
"The future. That's where you're going?"
"That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series."
"Uh, Doc." Marty began. The man looked up. "Uh, look Emma and I up when you get there." Doc looked at the two. Emma nodded at Doc with a smile. He did smiled back, giving the girl a nod.
"Indeed I will, roll em." Marty begins. "I, Doctor Emmett Brown..." The Doc trails off as Marty films Emma taking her radiation helmet off.
"Don't film me from that angle." Emma snapped over Marty's laughter. Doc wanted to laugh along but time was of the essence. For now.
"Hey, hey, hey!" The kids stop while Marty turns the camera to Doc. "...am about to embark on an historic journey." Doc finished, laughing to himself. "What have I been thinking of? I almost forgot to bring some extra plutonium. How did I ever expect to get back, one pallet one trip I must be out of my mind." Doc yelled, babbling to himself and raving on. While he did so, Einstein starting barking. He barked way louder and way longer than he usually does. "What is it Einy?" Doc asks innocently. Suddenly, Doc's face drops. The type of face drop that sends shivers down people's spines. "Oh my god, they found me, I don't know how but they found me." Emma turns around to see a big van coming up from behind. "Run for it, kids!"
"Who, who?" Marty asks, still recording. Marty McFly: utter bonehead.
"What are you, an owl? The Libyans!" Emma answered, screaming. Marty looked to Doc, nodding his head.
"Holy shit!" Marty yelled, ducking behind the DeLorean. The McFly grabs Emma, plopping down to the ground in the space between Marty's legs. She held his arms as he held hers. The two watched Doc somehow dodge their bullets.
"Unroll their fire!" Doc orders while trying to get his jammed gun to work.
"Doc, wait!" Emma tries getting up to help Doc. She's had some practice with a gun. Her father is a hunter and a Marine and all. Emma thought she could help but Marty wouldn't let her move. "Would you let go of me?" Emma screamed, struggling to get out of Marty's arms. He knew this would make her hate him even more but he couldn't loose her. He wouldn't loose her.
The Libyans caught up to him eventually. It just so happened to be sooner than expected. The man aiming his weapon towards Doc kept his grip tight, waiting for him to drop his gun. He threw it. Either way, Doc was shot. Doc was gone. Emma screamed in complete horror and jumped back while curling into a ball. "NO!" Marty cried. Emma grabbed the boy, trying to shush him so they wouldn't end up like Doc. A part of Emma left when she realized Doc was gone for good now. As much as she wanted to scream and yell, there was no way she'd let Marty end up like him too. Unfortunately, she couldn't keep her grip on him while he raced up to the van, screaming like a madman. "YOU BASTARD!" Emma caught up to Marty. Her green eyes locked in the eye of the terrorist holding a gun pointed towards her in her bright yellow suit.
Without any hesitation, Marty unfroze, snatched Emma and dragged himself and her to the back of Doc's truck where they couldn't shoot. The two held each other, breathing heavily. The two got ready to run. When they ran to their right, they were two deers in terrorist headlights. That's when they knew it was the end of the line. Marty McFly and Emma Eaves would be history.
"Huh?" The man said, hitting his weapon. Marty winced, opening his eyes and slightly loosening his grip on Emma who had just opened her eyes. It was their chance!
The two squeezed each others hands by running as fast as they could to the DeLorean. They quite literally threw themselves into the car, taking one last peek of Doc's body before slamming the doors. Marty turned on the car just in time, dodging the Libyan's attacks. Emma checked the mirrors to see the terrorist smiling devilishly holding up a much bigger weapon. "Turn it on, McFly!" Emma screamed. Marty turned the key, speeding past the Libyans while flying to the left side of the car, then to the right. They threw off the angered and off-aimed terrorists.
"C'mon, move dammit." Marty groaned, looking at the speed they were at. 75. Marty looked to Emma who took control of the wheel while Marty pumped on the gas, sending them to 85 and then back to 45, sending the terrorists off their track. Marty took control of wheel again. He used his one hand to drive, the other one to hold Emma's hand while she checked the mirrors. In some cartoony way, the Libyans had another gigantic weapon up their sleeve. "Holy shit!" Marty gasped. Emma let go of Marty's hand, letting both of his arms shrug up to his jawline.
"Let's see if you bastards can do ninety!" Emma yelled from out the window. Marty took the cue, speeding up even more, sending them to eighty eight miles per hour. That's when everything about Marty McFly and Emma Eaves's life would change forever.
