I stand in front of the stove, leaning over the bacon sizzling in the pan and I feel great! I don’t know why but my happiness levels seem to have sky rocketed since last night. Adam tried so hard to apologise to me and what he doesn’t know is that he already has me won over.
“Mmmm, whats that smell?” mum comes wandering in the kitchen, heading straight for the coffee machine.
Like mother like daughter I guess.
“Bacon” I smile at her and she looks at me curiously.
“What’s got you in such a happy mood?" She asks and I shrug “Does it happen to have something to do with a certain-”
“- Adam!” I cut her off and smile at the amazingly hot and amazing guy that has just walked down the stairs.
“I smelt bacon” he sighs still half asleep. I'm still wondering why I'm awake at this disturbing hour.
Adam leans his head on the bench and sighing softly.
“I hate to break it to you guys but you have to go to school today” mum pipes up from her spot next to the coffee machine which roars to life, drowning out both mine and Adams groans.
“Why? Why must the torture us so?” I shout to nobody in particular.
“I hate school, it sucks” Adam says once the coffee machine has stopped its god awful racket.
“I don’t hate school, I hate the teachers, I mean the only reason they hate me is because they think I'm plotting against them and even though it’s true, they don’t need to send me out before I even get to act out my plans” I sigh flipping the bacon over. I get a positive grunt from Adam and a ‘tsk’ from mum.
“Well while your both at school or whatever you do for six hours of the day, I’ll be at the day spa catching up with Aunt Mindy” she says taking a piece of toast I had made for myself and pours her coffee in a travel mug. She walks out of the room and I realise that’s she’s already dressed.
At seven in the morning?
I'm barely able to keep myself from face planting the hot plate at this hour and she already dressed and now she’s out the door and judging by the smoke coming out of the door to the garage she’s taken the car with her.
Which means Adam and I either have to walk or ride my bike.
And I aint walking.
I pile bacon and eggs onto two pates and slide one across to Adam who immediately snaps his head up from his resting position on the bench to devour his bacon.
After I finish my bacon and eggs and made myself another piece of toast because mum took mine, I lean backwards in my chair in an attempt to release some pressure on my full stomach. Adam attempts to copy me but fails miserably when he ends up nearly tipping his chair over which sends me into a fit of laughs.
“You should’ve seen your face” I say still laughing. I pick both our empty plates up and head to the sink, with my back to Adam I hear him grunt and then a loud thud as something hits the floor.
Turning slowly I realise its not a thing that hit the floor, it was Adam.
I walk up to the bench and lean over it looking down at him.
“What you doing down there?” I ask in a raising an eyebrow.
“I fell over” he smirks and looks up at me
“What you fell over for?” I ask crossing my arms and leaning on them.
“I didn’t do it on purpose” he says reaching a hand up in my direction, I take his in my own and pull him up to his feet.
