It's now dark out. The Starcourt Mall has been closed for a few hours now, as we — Robin, Dustin, Andy, Steve, Erica and myself, impatiently waited for all Starcourt employees to exit the building and go on their merry little way home.

We, excluding Erica, are now sat atop the roof of the Mall to keep an eye out on the Lynx Transport dock, our ticket way in. With Erica in the vents of the Mall.

The cool summer breeze makes me tighten the Members Only jacket covering my tube top. I play with the strap on my heels as an attempt to cure my boredom.

"Erica, do you copy?" Robin uses the walkie to check in on the small girl who is alone in Scoops Ahoy to get through the ventilation system to the Lynx Transport ventilations.

"Mm-hmm. I copy." Erica responds, her tone filled with regret and frustration. Ice cream for life just to squeeze into a vent for a bit, I'd do it too.

"It's all quiet here, so you've got the green light." Robin informs as we stare down the roof watching the lack of movement coming from the dock.

Andy and Dustin fight over the binoculars, both of them wanting to see clearly. Steve and I sit on our knees watching overhead whereas Robin looks down at the blueprints every so often and holds the walkie close to her mouth.

"Green light, roger that. Commence Operation: Child Endangerment."

"Can we maybe not call it that?" Robin pleads as she huffs, yanking the blueprint to her legs aggressively.

"Operation: Brat Endangerment sound better?"

I reach my arm over Steve's body and grab the walkie off of Robin's soft hands. "Yes, it does."

Andy slaps my arm, almost causing me to drop the walkie. I hit him back as Robin picks up the dropped walkie.

"Don't hit me, you twerp." I huff. He ignores me and continues to fight with Dustin for the damn binoculars. Why did they only grab one? Stupid.

"See you on the other side, Nerds."

After some small talk, and waiting for Erica to reach the dock, we finally hear her voice call out from the walkie when she makes it to the destination.

"All right, Nerds. I'm there."

"Do you see anything?" Robin questions, as we all squint our eyes and look in the direction of the closed doors that we hoped to get into.

"Yeah, I see those boring boxes you're so excited about."

"Any guards?" Robin questions.

"Negative."

"Booby traps?"

"If I could see them, they'd be pretty shit traps, wouldn't they?"

"Definitely a Sinclair." I mumble.

"Thank you for that." Robin sighs as she looks to Steve and I.

"I'm in."

We see the doors to Lynx Transportation open up and Erica's little body comes out of the door.

"Free ice cream for life."

"Oh my God!" We cheer silently to ourselves and quickly rush out of the rooftop. The five of us run down the stairs and sneak through to Lynx Transportation to finally see what is in the boxes that belong to the Russians.
