The Voltaris aren't good, we have to stop them, they'll kill everyone, ignore your kind side, be a champion, be a hero, the Voltaris aren't good we have to stop them they'll kill everyone, be a hero... Addison Nestoris ran her sharpening stone along her long enchanted diamond sword, the golden glow sparkling in her golden eyes, her long brown hair falling over her shoulders and down her back, her freckles visible in the glow of her markings. She sighed a bit and picked up her necklace, putting it around her neck and sheathing her sword as she stood up.
"Time to be a hero." She said confidently, her tail swishing gently. Her confidence was like a bubble, easily popped at even the slightest of pressure on it, she was bound to crumble if anyone told her something she wasn't expecting. Like a sudden death, or even a positive thing, like a present. She breathed in and started walking down the hallway towards the Champion's preparing room, where they sharpened swords, told each other stories, prepared for a big fight, got supplies for late missions ready. She was the only female Champion and the Nestoris Master's daughter, his only daughter, yet he didn't seem to treasure her as much as he did her brother, she thought of it as a way of saying that he trusted her, but she knew it was just because her brother was next in line to be the Nestoris Master, he was great with wielding staffs and well known among the people of Ardonia. She. Was not. She was just a champion but unlike the others everyone overlooked her, it should have been a joy when she joined the Champions after winning the tournament, but it wasn't, sure the males were nice to her but they didn't seem to respect her as they did each other. She walked into the room and saw Thalleous standing beside Jagter Kaltaris, he was one of the few who had won more than one tournament. He was regal and pretty tall, signaling that he was a powerful male, however tall males were signaled how powerful he was. She was obviously the shortest in the group as she was female, she was often called 'shortie' by the males even though she was reasonably tall for a female, with a height of 5'9, but she had stopped growing as she was an adult and would stay that height, so, she was the short one. Kos Mendoris stood on the side; his watchful violet gaze pinned on the Sendaris Champion, his tail swishing gently as he watched the two males talk. He was a sour male, he was one of the unofficial bosses of the group, he was strict and reminded her of a father who didn't want anything to ever happen without him knowing every detail despite him being her age and unmarried, he was dating however, a female Mendoris named Violet. Thalleous often kept his priorities on leading the group and helping people get settled, being yet another unofficial leader of the group, Vegter Nestoris was one of her father's most loyal guards and was the funny one who cheered everyone up. A few others were there as well, new Champions that she hadn't yet learned the names of. Vegter looked towards her as she walked in and smiled as Kos just rolled his eyes and snarled slightly.
"Hurry and get ready, we leave in an hour." Kos snarled and Thalleous looked back, swishing his tail.
"No, we will leave when everyone is ready." He corrected and glared at the Mendoris who lashed his tail and stormed towards Thalleous, baring his teeth at the Sendaris male, They were almost the same height with Kos being a bit taller than Thalleous, maybe by an inch or so.
"That could take ages!" He exclaimed as Addy walked towards the sleeping pads and put one in her bag, she saw one of the Kaltaris males who she had not yet learned the name of, sitting on a bench, his arm rested on a shelf and his tail gently swishing as he looked around, his longer hair was tied back out of his face and his leaf-green eyes searched the room as he had his left leg rested on his chest. He looked towards her, inspecting her and grunted.
"A female? Since when was a female a champion?" He asked and tilted his head.
"I've been a champion for seven years and this is my eighth." She said and stood up, flicking her ear and brushing her hair back. The Kaltaris raised his eyebrows and inspected her as felt her confidence bubble being poked at.
