~Chapter 7~

"Where's your boyfriend?" Vegter asked as Addy brushed her fingers through her hair. She dismounted her horse as he looked down.

"He got here early and went home. He'll be back." She said and rubbed the horse's neck as Vegter gave the horse a hard glare.

"Don't be mad at him and besides you already have a girlfriend." She laughed.

"I know but you're like a little sister to me so I want to protect you, it's an instinct!" He objected and she laughed a bit then heard a male voice call her name.

"Addy?!"

She turned around and saw her brother running towards her, widening her eyes and running into his arms, wrapping her arms around him as he lifted her up in a tight hug then set her down.

"Are you going out to the war again?" She asked, her heart dropping as she knew that he was going to leave.

"No actually, we just got back." He grinned and she returned it then hugged him tighter. Vegter walked towards the Tidesinger with a bitter expression.

"She has a boyfriend." He said and Achillean froze then tossed her a narrow-eyed gaze as Vegter walked up beside him with the same expression.

"Great now you're both judging me?" She asked and sighed deeply.

"Well you're like a little sister to Vegter and you are my little sister." Achillean said and Vegter shook his head.

"And she's had one for a while." He said and Achillean sighed then walked closer to her but she shoved him back a bit.

"it's fine, He's a good person who has no intention of hurting anyone." She said and Achillean sighed a bit.

"I just want you to be safe." He said and Vegter nodded in agreement.

"And I will be, he's just a male like you." She said and shrugged, still slightly annoyed at how protective he was.

"Well then let's see what Father thinks of this." He said and she looked away for a minute with wide eyes.

"Oh he's going to kill me." She sighed.

"Not if I kill you first." He said and turned away.

"Nice try." She sighed and he looked back at her and smiled.

"But I'm serious, Father needs to know you have a boyfriend." He said and pointed at her.

"I know and I'll tell him when I want to." She said and he frowned. She smiled innocently and grabbed his hand.

"And 'when I want to' will be soon." She said and he sighed a bit then let go of her hand.

"Fine, just be careful." He warned and she let out a deep, dramatic sigh.

"I know I'm a champion!" She said and he nodded then sighed a bit again but left despite that as she ran towards the food. Achillean walked out towards the staircase leading to the rooms as she looked towards the food the other champions and people from Achillean's war group were grabbing. Despite all of the food laid out before her she felt a sickening feeling inside like her stomach was twisted in knots and shook her head, looking away from the arrangement of luxurious food.

"Really? My daughter a champion needs to eat." A low male voice cut out and she looked up to see her father walking towards them, running up to him and wrapping her arms around him.

"Dad!" She cried and squeezed the Nestoris Master tighter. When she finally let go Aegus looked into her eyes with a knowing look.

"Really? Denying yourself the food laid out before you? We prepared all of this for the champions and Achillean's war group." He said and she sighed a bit.
