I glance nervously to Scott as my finger hovers above the 'call' button. I can't believe that suddenly I'm too chicken to call Maria up, and after feeling so confident when Chris and I were discussing it last night.

"Cam, just push the button..." Scott tries to coax me on. I chuck the phone onto the coffee table and sigh, shaking head before I burst into tears. "Steve, can you go check if Chris is still in our suite?"

"Sure thing". Steve nods and heads out to find whether Chris has already left or not.

I feel pathetic.

"Hey, it's cool - I hate making phone calls, hate answering them too". Scott grins and then hugs me. "Once you've done this though? You'll feel a hell of a lot better for it".

I rest my head on his shoulder. "I just want to know why, but at the same time I don't wanna find out".

Scott sighs at this. "Well I can tell you now, she says anything about Chris being a red flag or some shit like that? Then it's a lie. I know he's my brother and blah, blah, blah - but I also know that you guys? You'd be right for one another". He then laughs. "I sound like a cheese ball".

I can't help but laugh at this. If one of us were having a shit day on set then we could always trust that the other would soon make us feel better. "You are cheese but that's why I love you". I now smirk.

"Hey, you already have your Ken, you can't have Barbie too". I hear Chris now say as he comes in with Steve and puts his phone away. "I got Josh to change my flight. I wanna be here when you annihilate the bitch".

I half laugh and half cry. "You guys make this sound easy".

"Because it will be". He says and passes me my phone. "Now make the call. We're here to add any helpful pointers".

Finding Maria's number, I press call and immediately put it onto speaker as she answers. "Ah! There you are, I've been trying to get a hold of you".

"Important messages to convey?" I ask. "Unlike the ones you chose to delete last year".

"What the fuck are you on about?"

The anger now washes over me. "You had me believing Chris never sent messages or called me, only to find that he actually did - when you had control over my phone when I was filming! Why the hell didn't you tell me? Why did you delete everything he sent!"

Maria sighs. "You needed to focus on your projects more than dating. You had big roles Cam, you wouldn't have been able to hold down a relationship anyway, especially not with a man who is also just as busy as you".

"You're not the one to decide that!" I yell at her as Scott and Steve looked stumped at what she's just hit us with. "You don't decide who I get to love! Who I choose to spend time with! I could've had something really great..." then I look at Chris. "In fact, I still think I could - but you don't get to rule my life just because you want me to get good publicity. You led Chris and me on, thinking neither of us cared".

"He may be sexiest man alive or whatever the fuck he won last year, but the guy isn't for you. He's a red flag..."

At this point, Scott goes to launch for the phone but I grab it and walk away just in time.

"Find yourself someone else's life to rule over. You're fired. You, Miranda, the whole fucking management are fired. I'm done".

"You're making the biggest mistake in your career Camden. You're under contract, you don't just get to say we're done when you still need to commit..."

"Not if I give up acting. Congratulations, I'll leave it to you to tell Miranda that you just lost the management's biggest monkey maker".

Maria snorts. "Camden. We can always replace you y'know. It's not all about you".

"No, but it has been. Goodbye Maria - and fuck you!"

Scott immediately yells. "Fuck you Maria!" As I hang up and then runs over to hug me tight. "You were fucking amazing!" Hi fiving me, "Sorry but when she called Chris a red flag that did it for me..."

I nod, still in shock about what I've done and then look to Chris. He's walked through into the bedroom and I can hear him talking to someone. "Is he ok?"

Steve nods. "He was actually on the phone to his management when I went to get him. Think he's trying to see whether he can get you a meeting with his manager. They'll look after you far better than yours have, that's for sure".

"Thanks guys".

"Hey, if you wanna head back and stay at ours for a few days we don't mind". Scott offers, "You could come third wheel on our Joshua Tree stay..."

I shake my head. "I'm ok. I need to get back home anyway and wonder just what the fuck I'm gonna do about next week's premiere".

Then it hits me...

I head into the bedroom where Chris is still talking, pacing the room slowly before he glances over and smiles with a thumbs up.

He's ok. Maria's words didn't wound him at all - and if they did then he's doing a good job at hiding it. "Yeah, Ok cool - I'll let her know. Ok, thanks man - bye". He says and rings off, turning to me. "Nick wants to meet you, so does Megan".

"You really don't have to-"

Chris cuts me off. "Hey, you need to fire some more shots - this is the way to do it".

I nod, a lump forming in my throat again. "Thank you...but there is also another way that I want to add salt to my now ex management's wounds..."

"Oh yeah? And what's that then, Barbie?"

I look at him, not believing i'm about to say this. "I want you walk the carpet with me next week at the London premiere..."
