9. "I miss you."

It's been 2 weeks since Nick left and I'm trying to distract myself with work and school, if I'm not at work I'm studying for my last exam which is more complicated without Nick since he would help me with flash cards and quiz me.

"Grace girl you need to eat, you can't just drown yourself in a book and avoid the basic needs to life!"

I hear Colie say from my door, I roll my eyes at her comment and ignore her, then I hear Taylor

"Colie is right Grace but we know you're not going to cook so I picked you up some chipotle!"

My head snaps in their direction at the talk of Chipotle and try to hide my smile but it breaks through so I laugh and say

"Alright alright you vultures, you have my attention"

They walk in and hand me the bag of chipotle while sitting on the love seat I have next to my desk, Taylor looks at me and says

"How's Nick? Have you heard from him?"

I smile sadly and shake my head no as I open my food

"Not since he landed, he's probably busy so I don't wanna bug him."

Taylor sigh then says

"Give me one sec"

He leaves my room and heads to the hall, I look at Colie confused and she looks just as confused then I head a muffled conversation of

"Girlfriend..... normal.... Studying... food.... Work... misses you"

Then it clicks... he called Nick.

Taylor: dude what are you doing!?

Nick: well hello to you too Taylor

Taylor: why haven't you called Grace at all since you got to set, dude did you forget you have a girlfriend!?

Fuck.

Taylor: you have an amazing girlfriend who is a normal human being, but since you left she's been doing nothing but studying, and working, Colie and I have to basically force her to eat food so she remembers to eat. Dude she misses you like crazy. What. Are. You. Doing!?

Nick: I know alright I know, I've been trying to get to know the other actors and every time I look at the clock for Minnesota Grace is either at work or school or asleep, it's killing me not to hear her voice or kiss her, or feel her but I don't want to uproot her life and distract her either!

Taylor: look man I get that but at the same time, you gotta remember, she's a normal girl, she can't go weeks without hearing from you without feeling like she did something wrong

Nick: you're right, I'll giver her a call.

Taylor: you better man. I'll talk to you later.

*call ended*

In all honesty calling Grace has been hard for me, knowing she's out there walking around, her beautiful brown hair hanging on her back, her eyes hitting the sun just right that they take your breath away, her smile that makes your whole body feel like jelly. I'm falling for this girl hard and I can feel it and that's what scares me, I'm going to be gone for 5 months and who knows what will happen after.

Graces dream is to be a nurse, not an actors wife who follows them everywhere to all the sets so they don't have to be apart. I'm uprooting her life and I know it, but I can't be away from her, she's all I want but so is acting. How the hell is this going to work!?

Grace: Hello? Nick?

God her voice, I have missed that voice.

Nick: hi beautiful, how are you!?

Grace: I'm alright, studying, working, the usual. How about you how's the set and cast?

Nick: good they're really nice and funny, you'd get along with quite a few of them I just know it!

I hear her laugh and it makes my heart skip thinking about seeing her face light up while she laughs

Grace: idk about that Nick, I'm a pretty normal girl, and I can be quite shy

Nick: you haven't been shy with me darling

Grace: that's different I was intoxicated when we danced that night so I had some courage to get what I want

Nick: alright love if you say so

We spend the next 2 hours talking, she tells me about school and some crazy cases she's seen at work, I fill her in on the cast and set as well as what the movie is about. It feels so good to talk to her again and I can't imagine I went 2 weeks without hearing her voice the suddenly I get an idea.

Nick: hey Grace, what're you doing the week after graduation?

Grace: not sure, why what's up?

Nick: if I got you, Colie and Taylor plane tickets to come out here would you accept them?

Grace OH. MY. GOD!! YES!

Nick: thank god, I miss you so much Grace and I need to see you again, but I know I can't pull you away from school so I can settle for after school ends.

Grace: I miss you too Nick. So fucking much. I will be there.

Nick: perfect I'll get the tickets after the next scene, alright darling?

Grace: sounds good to me, I should head to bed so I'll text you tomorrow and let you know when I'm free to talk, I miss you Nick

Nick: I miss you more Grace. I'll talk to you tomorrow!

I run to set to film the next scene and once I'm off set I purchase 3 plane tickets from May 17th-May 27th, 10 days won't be long enough with her but I have to see her again before I got insane.
