Chapter 5

Sakuragi Katsuki P.O.V.

I lean my head on Mikey's shoulder. "It looks like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders" I say softly. "Hmm?" Mikey smiles. "It's not that bad is it?" He asks. "I'm not saying that it is. I'm saying that it looks like it" I say. Mikey sighs. "Something really bad has happened. A guy was beaten, and his girlfriend was raped and beaten. It was a close friend of one of the founding members of Toman, a close friend of mine" Mikey says. "Of course he wants revenge. It's up to me if Toman is going to help or not. It's a tough decision. No one likes to leave a friend to fend for himself" Mikey says. I don't respond for a bit. "That is a heavy burden" I say. "Hmm, is it?" Mikey asks. "It is" I say, taking his hand. "It's just normal" he says. "It's not if you're carrying it alone" I say. "I'm not. I have Kenchin." Mikey says. I smile. "That's good" I say. Mikey starts his bike. "Let's get you home" he says. I nod disappointed. It doesn't take long before Mikey arrives at our mansion. As I step off, the gate opens and Taiyō walks out with someone behind him. He's a bit intimidating with his bright red hair and yellow eyes. "See you tomorrow, Tsukichin" Mikey says as he glances at my brother and his friend. "bye bye" I say, then watch him leave. Both Taiyō and his friend both light a cigarette. "Thanks again,Ryūji" Taiyō says. The guy grunts. "Now don't be a stranger" Taiyō says amused. The guy doesn't respond and jus waves while he walks away. "Get inside" Taiyō says, his voice a lot stricter than before. I lower my head before walking through the gates. I walk through the front door, take off my shoes and then walk inside. As I walk toward the stairs of the left wing, the sliding door opens and Ichiro walks out. I can see Father sitting in the tatami matted room. Ichiro closes the door. "Okaerinasai" Ichiro says. "Tadaima" I mumble. "what's wrong?" Ichiro asks. "Nothing" I answer, and walk up the stairs. "Katsuki.." Ichiro says, but I ignore it. "What did you do?" I hear Ichiro ask. 'Why do you always assume it's me?" Taiyō asks in response. I sigh deeply and walk into my own bedroom, closing the door.

I stand beside Emma, when Draken calls her over. After a while she comes back with another girl. "This is Hina-chan. It's Takemichy's girlfriend" Emma says. "Takemichy?" I ask. Emma nods to a boy, not too impressive, that's with Mikey and Draken. "This is Tsukichin, Mikey's girlfriend" Emma says. "Oh, I-I'm not" I say blushing embarrassed. Emma laughs. "You are. Everyone knows you are. Neither one of you just said it out loud" Emma says and winks. "He wouldn't have brought you this often if you're not" Emma says. "Oh so what, you're Draken's girlfriend?" I ask. Emma scoffs. "I wish, but he just sees Mikey" she mumbles. I turn toward Hinata. "Pardon my rudeness, Sakuragi Katsuki" I say, bowing slightly. "Tachibana Hinata" she says, doing the same. We step a little back as the meeting/gathering starts. As Mikey talks to Pahchin, and then makes the announcement, my heart squeezes. I knew this was coming, I saw this one coming, but why do I have this ominous feeling? "Is he always this intense?" Hinata asks. "He is" Emma and I say in unison. "I can't believe I slapped him" Hinata mumbles. "You what?" I ask surprised and Emma burst out laughing. "That is hilarious" she says and I can't help but chuckle as well. "What's so funny?" Mikey asks as he walks up with Draken and Takemichy. "She slapped you" Emma laughs. "Oh yeah" Mikey says amused, touching his cheek. "I'm so sorry" Hinata says embarrassed. "It's fine" Mikey says, placing his hand on my lower back. I step a little bit closer to him, and blush when Emma gives me a meaningful look. I glance at Mikey, and I see he's already smiling and goofing with Takemichy and Draken. But I can't shake that ominous feeling. I softly take Mikey's hand from my back. He immediately looks at me. "I have to go" I say. "Go?" Mikey asks. "Y-yeah" I say, taking a step back. "Okay, I'll take you" Mikey says, a little confused. "No. No it's fine. I'll see you all later" I say, and quickly leave, leaving them all confused. I turn a few corners and then bump into someone, which makes me step back a few steps. "I'm sorry" I say, looking up. I immediately shut up when I see that intimidating red haired guy from the other day. He looks at me in silence, and then whistles loudly. Taiyō steps in from another alley. "What are you doing here?" He asks.

"Here you are" Mikey says as he sits down next to me. "You've been avoiding me, why?" He asks. I rub the back of my neck. "I'm sorry" I say. "I was just...trying to figure something out. I had to do that by myself." I say. "And did you?" Mikey asks. "Yes and no" I answer. "That's a weird answer" Mikey chuckles. "I found out that I do like you, as Emma claimed" I say and Mikey blinks surprised. "I didn't found out how to get rid of this ominous feeling" I add. Mikey looks me. "I've had it since that meeting the other day. Like something bad is going to happen" I say, and take Mikey's hand. "Can't you call it off?" I ask softly. Mikey's expression changes and suddenly he's got that intensity as when he's with his gang. "No" he says, pulling his hand back. I thought he would say that. "I see" I mumble. I take a deep breath. "I'm not going to try to change your mind. It's your decision after all" I say, and look at Mikey. "But can you at least promise me you'll be careful?" I ask. Mikey smirks slightly. "I can't promise such a thing" he says. I sigh deeply. "You're purposely being difficult are you?" I ask. Mikey chuckles. "It's cute that you like me, but you shouldn't" he says. "Why?" I ask. "I'm not a good guy. I probably won't be good for you" Mikey says. "You're good to your friends" I say. "Not always" he answers.  "It's not like I have control over who I like like that" I say. "I'm just the first person who's kind to you" Mikey says. "You're not" I scoff. "I'm not obligated to be nice to you" Mikey says. "And since I've met you, others are nice to me that are not obligated to. I'm not attracted to all of them" I say. Mikey doesn't respond. I look at Mikey again. When he looks at me, I smile. "I'm not asking you to like me back. And I'm not trying to confuse you" I say. "I'm not confused" Mikey says. He then leans toward me and presses his lips against mine. I blink surprised but then close my eyes and kiss back. As I feel him pull away, I open my eyes. I immediately see a fear in his eyes. "You don't have to be worried" I say softly.
