Part 3 | Airport

When we finally arrived at the airport, which felt like a huge amount of time, we got our suitcases dropped off and had some time in the airport.

"So, I and Jamie forgot our shampoo. We'll go look at some, is that fine with you guys?" Katie says.

"Yeah, that's alright. I'll probably go look at some food, I'm starving" Matt looks at us all for reassurance.

"I'll go with Matt," Nick adds.

I nod at them and look at Alex. The others were heading to the different shops.

"I'm going to the drinks shop. I'll be back.." I speak to him softly, fiddling with my fingers.

"I'll come with you," he replies.

I had already started walking towards the small shops with drinks and small snacks, as I turned to him again.

"Seriously?" I chuckle.

I guess I was a bit shocked.

He could have after all stayed at our seats. Minding his own business? I wasn't even sure that I wanted him to go with me.

He nods. Not anything else. No smile, no reaction, just a slight nod.

We get to the shop in absolute silence. I felt like I had to say something

"So um, do you want anything? It's on me," I smile gently at him.

Oh, for God's sake, shut up Arabella!

"I'll pay myself, don't worry about it, Bella," he smiles politely.

Bella? Seriously? Only Katie and Matt called me Bella. This was a nickname my close friends could call me.

I walk up to one of the small coffee booths and get a paper cup. This morning I had only gotten one very tiny cup of coffee, which wasn't nearly enough to deal with Alex for a whole day. Luckily, the coffee booth was a self-checkout, so I had no need to wait in line.

Alex though, had gotten something from the shelves, so he had to wait in line. I waited at the entrance, sipping the hot coffee.

"What did you get yourself?" I manage to ask him as we're walking out of the store.

"Oh, I just got these," he grabs a bag of McVitie's digestive chocolate biscuits.

At least he had great taste. I loved those biscuits, chocolate did its thing. Before I manage to say anything I see Katie. She was waving at us.

I checked the clock. I look confused up at her.

Our flight wasn't boarding until 2:35 p.m.

I checked my watch.
1:16 p.m.

I wave at her to get her attention, as well as shrugging at her. After a few seconds of walking, we finally reached her.

"What is it? It's only one six-" I was interrupted.

"You have to see this!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"Let me speak, woman!"
She was pulling me to some random store.

I looked over my shoulder to look at Alex.

He was laughing. I have never in my life seen Alex Turner laugh because of something I said. Only his best friend, Miles, could make this man laugh properly.

We finally get to the thing Katie was so desperate to show me.

Seriously. A headband.

"Katie, is this some sort of joke?" I snort out.
