In the world we live today
We face a great ordeal
From the planet dying
To the oceans frying
And many going without a mealOur leaders turn a blind eye
To people losing their homes
So the rich may fill their pockets
And leave Earth for Martian domesThey'd leave us with a war-torn world
All resources depleted
With the race to save our home
Being a race in which they cheatedTensions rise from here to there
Our forests can be found nowhere
As millions go and lose their rights
But millions more come to fightWomen fight for their sacred choice
Queers fight for a needed voice
So many just wanting to see
Not a world of left or right, but one us, and weI might not live in total luxury
But I live my life in peace
I might not sleep in a palace of gold
But I couldn't care the leastI speak my truth
I speak my mind
The feedback might not be so kind
But I know deep down who I am
And for changing that, there is no planSo let us stand up and be strong
Side by side where we belong
To fight the battle that must be fought
To save a home that can't be bought
