The One That Got Away

Haley just texted me that I should come over to her house right away so we can work on Jay's birthday tribute video with Alex and Luke. With my mother's permission, I can take her car and drive over there. Jay is using his car to go fishing for his birthday, so I can't use his, but he never lets me use his car anyway. 

Now, that I'm at the Dunphy's house, I work on the video with them. I've filmed mine, Mom, and Manny's reaction about what they have to say about Jay. I think it went...pretty well.

"Okay, I'm here," I announce as I walk into the house. "What do we have to do?"

"We are going to watch the video to see what we have." Alex answers, and we all gather around Haley at the table to watch it from the laptop. 

"What are you guys doing?" Luke approaches us. Alex sits on a chair at the left side of Haley and I sit on the other side.

"Just working on our tribute video to Grandpa." Haley says as she's working on the laptop.

"You know, some of the interviews I did didn't turn out so well." Alex worries.

"That's okay," Haley assures her. "We'll just use the best stuff of what we got." Then she plays the video.

"Okay, Haley, talk about Grandpa." I hear Alex's voice from the video.

"Ewww, I can't talk about Grandpa dressed like this." Haley says, being grossed out. She was wearing a slutty Halloween costume dressed as a cat. Then, for some weird reason, we hear screaming.

The next clip is my mother and I'm filming her.

"Say something about your new, hot, young husband, Mom," Then I jokingly add as if I made a mistake. "Oh, I mean Jay."

She gives me a look and then answers grinning. "I loooove my-" Of course, that damn dog in the neighborhood had to start barking. Mom immediately became angry. "That stupid dog next door! Jaaayyy! Jaaayyy! Jaaayyy!" She gets up and leaves.

Next, is Mitch who looks like he's dancing or exercising? I think? If you can call whatever he was doing dancing.

"Hey, Uncle Mitch, what do you think  - what are you doing?" Alex is confused just like I am.

His eyes widened in shock, and Mitch's reaction is as if Alex walked in on him doing something embarrassing. Which I guess, it can be. Mitch quickly stops what he's doing when he saw her.

"Nothing," Mitch instantly answers. "You didn't see this - and weeeee don't tell Cam. Capisce?"

Phil is dressed up in the next clip, and Alex is trying to interview him. But he seems to be rushing out of the door for something important that looks like it can be work related.

"It'll only take one minute!" Alex insists.

"We don't have a minute!"

"Who's Greg Bigsby?" 

"Friend of your Mom's," Then Phil had to trip on his way down the stairs. Of course, he does. I notice that he always does that. A lot. "Not now!" He yells at the stair on his way out.

Cam is doing his clown makeup in his bathroom.

"Hey, Uncle Cam, can you talk about Jay?"

He turns around all annoyed and flustered to her. "Jay! I know! No time! I got a little girl's birthday party to save!" Then he starts shooing her off with his hands. "Skiddadle! Go!"

"Oh, not now, honey," Claire is going to leave as she grabs her poster. "Your father's out back there. Why don't you call him?"  She begins to yell. "Phil - Daaaaad! Your kids need you!" Claire somewhat apologetically shrugs then leaves.
