Mom and I come home together from the grocery store. I help her to carry the bags in and we both gasp in horror and drop our bags when we see the most weirdest, annoying, and horrifying thing in the world. It's something that you see in your dreams it's that weird.
It's Jay's dog butler statue, Barkley.
Mom and I hate that statue dog.
I had a nightmare about it once. I'm in a hotel room with Will and Scarlett and the person who's giving us the hotel room service is Barkley. I remember waking up out of fear because I opened the door and it's Barkley waiting on us. Weirdest. Dream. Ever.
Mom looks like she could kill that thing. While I'm trying to put the items back into the bag that we dropped, Mom is carrying Barkley up the stairs and most likely locking it in a room where it belongs.

Mom and I come home again along with Scarlett, Briana, and Delaney because we picked them up. They're going to hang out here with me for today.
I know I can drive, but I'm still trying to remember the directions to their home addresses and I'm not the best at merging yet if my Mom or Jay isn't there to guide me.
Mom is on her phone, but her and I gasp in horror when that stupid Barkley is down here again.
"Ew, what's that?" Delaney mutters, being unimpressed, and also, disturbed. She slowly backs away from it because the weird canine statue makes her uncomfortable. "It's like he's staring right into my soul."
"Diavlo!" Mom angrily shouts.
"A what?" Briana asks me for to translate.
"Devil." I answer.
"I think he's cute." Scarlett compliments with a smile.
"You would." Me, Briana, and Delaney says together.
Scarlett really likes weird and quirky things like Barkley.
"Hey, girls," Jay enters, greeting us half-heartedly. "Hey, Gloria. Do you have any idea why Barkley was in the guest bedroom?"
"Maybe you should have commanded it to stay." I joke.
"I was just doing a little redecorating. Sometimes it's good to move things around just to see how they look." Mom lies.
"Yeah, but the guest room? That's crazy. He's not a guest, he works for us. Hey, give me a hand here, will you? I think his jacket shifted while I was moving him." Jay says.
"Maybe one of the girls would like to help you-" Mom tries to make one of us lift Barkley, but I stop her before that happens.
"Uh, no. We really got to go to my room now." I quickly tell her and we rush upstairs to my bedroom.
Behind my closed door, we talk, laugh, and gossip about anything.
"Want to know who asked me out?" Briana asks as we're all either laying or sitting on my bed.
"Who?" I wonder.
"Trevor Hayes," Briana answers in a dreamy voice. She always had a crush on the football player in forever. "He asked me out yesterday after lunch."
"Oh, really? That's so great, Bree." I praise her.
"But I'm kinda nervous to go out on a date with him for the first time. How about we go on a double date with you and Will? Is that cool?" She asks.
"Yeah, it is," I answer. "We've never been on a double date before. That'll be nice."
"You guys have been dating for what? Ten months now and haven't even gone on a double date?" Delaney asks, sounding surprised. "Doesn't none of any Will's friends have a real girlfriend yet?"
