Kayden's pov
8 years later.
It's crazy how fast time flies. I have been in the Silver Dagger pack for eight years. Life is pretty awesome.
I owe a lot to Valeria and Lucas, we have become really close. I even have my own little house right next to the packhouse.
I'm leaving from work right now.
"Have you checked the training schedules for the camp starting next week?" I asked the ward nurse.
For a moment I felt as if someone was staring at me, but when I looked around I saw no one. I've made sure that I'm not at work when the campers arrive or leave, because inevitably some of the participants come from the Blue Moon pack. The younger ones don't recognize me, but their parents might.
"Yes, everything is in order and ready for the new campers. In area H, everything is also going as it should and the guards' shifts are done." Nurse Kelly answered.
"Awesome! Okay, I'm going home now but I'll be back tomorrow. Bye!" I said and went out.
Outside I took a deep breath of fresh air and looked at the big building and smiled. My dream.
"I'm proud of you Kayden." Kai said.
After I had been here for less than a year, Valeria and Lucas gave me this building as a birthday present. I got to make it exactly how I wanted! Let's just say that I couldn't avoid crying.
The building has a training area where both strength and fighting skills are developed. We also have accommodation and lounges for campers.
Teens and adults who are old enough to experience heat can also come here and spend their heat in the H area. Each omega sets their own wishes regarding what they would like their partner to be like and what things they want to do during heat.
We carefully select those people who want to come and help omegas. They must be mateless and understand exactly the rules of our place.
If you want, heat can also be treated with medication.I myself have once spent my heat here a year ago. It was the only time I've been with someone since Ryder and probably the last time.
Alpha Kyle. He had lost his mate a couple of years before he joined our program. Our chemistry matched well and I decided to give him a chance.
A shiver went through my body. It's just a shame that he became obsessed with me and he didn't understand that I didn't want a relationship with him or anyone. He just helped me in my heat.
In the end, he had to be banned from here and in the territory of our pack.
I hummed. The truth is that there is a void inside me. Ryder never accepted my rejection and deep down I know I don't want anyone but him. In 8 years I have learned to live without him and got used to the emptiness inside me, as horrible as it sounds.
I've been trying to call Caleb and my friends regularly, I miss them. Sure, I've made a lot of new friends here, but I've grown up with Lexie and Dylan. I smiled, half a year after I left, Caleb told me that those two are mates. I would really like to see how they do together.
I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't notice that I was already in the yard of my house before a loud scream interrupted my thoughts.
"Daddy!" And two pups jumped into my arms. Yep, it turned out I was expecting twins. This is another reason why I haven't gotten all worked up about the past and about Ryder.
"Hello my pups." I put them down and they were in hurry to go back to play. I might miss Ryder sometimes but these two are the most important thing in my life and I would do anything for them.
I have a girl and a boy.
My girl Cassandra or Cassie is an omega. She has my cold blonde hair and her father's blue eyes. She's kind-hearted and caring, but she's also a fiery little fighter.
Then there is my Alpha son Xander, just like his father.. He has his father's black hair but inherited my different pair of eyes. He has a strong character but is kind and takes care of everyone. He is very protective of his sister and me. Xander is a natural born Alpha.
In the evening I looked at my sleeping pups. They are my saviors. It hurts me to think that I haven't been able to tell even Caleb about them. I can't risk Ryder finding out about them.
"It's been 8 years already. He's definitely grown up and he'd definitely be a good father. Besides, he's been loyal to us all these years." Kai said, he has never given up on our mate.
And he's right. Ryder never accepted the rejection and never took a chosen mate. He is called a lonely Alpha who is still looking for his runaway mate.
I went to my own room and started to sleep myself. Life is good right now just the way it is. I have managed without a mate for a long time and will continue to manage.
3rd person's pov
Earlier that day.
The warrior looked around in surprise and wonder. The omega center is a really impressive building.
He had come to pick up his omega daughter who was here at the camp. The warrior wanted the best for all his children, so when his daughter asked to go to camp, he agreed.
The warrior arrived at the reception desk.
"Hello, my name is Vince and I came to pick up my daughter Anna. I'm a couple of days early because we unexpectedly have to go visit my mates family." Vince said.
"That's okay. What pack are you from?"
"Blue Moon." Vince replied.
"Hold on, I'll check her schedule. Found it. Follow me and I'll show you where her room is." The nurse answered Vince and they started walking.
Vince looked around and his eyes were fixed on two people who were talking in the other corridor. It can't be.. Vince found himself staring and quickly moved on before he noticed him.
Vince cleared his throat. "Excuse me, but who was that male?"
The nurse's eyes brightened and a big smile appeared on her face.
"He is the heart of this place. He is the founder of this building. He created and designed everything here and gave omegas the opportunity to influence their own lives. He is wonderful, a gift from the Moon Goddess. Oh my, I'm rambling, sorry. His name is Kayden." The nurse smiled, blushing.
Vince was taken aback. It's him. Vince picked up his daughter and hurried home. 4 hours has never seemed so long but when they got to their pack, Vince hurried to Alpha's office.
Everyone knew that Alpha works long hours. He probably doesn't want to think about his missing mate.
In 8 years, Alpha Ryder has grown into a great Alpha that everyone respects.
Vince waited until he was called inside.
"Alpha, I found him!" Vince almost screamed.
"What?" Alpha Ryder asked in surprise.
"Kayden. I found him."
Alpha Ryder rose from his chair. "Where? Where is he?"
"He's at the Silver Dagger pack." Vince replied.
Ryder rushed out, transformed and ran to the rose cliff. Jax sat up and howled, and they thought together
"Finally. We are coming for you mate."
