"Koi, come get your dog," I called out to my oldest daughter. She begged Y/n for a dog and of course like the softy she is, she got her one.
"Coming mommy!" She yelled as she came down stairs. She grabbed her yorkie, holding her close to her body.
"Hi Mila. Mommy, can Mila come with us to the game?" She asked as I shook my head.
"No ma'am. I already have my hands full with you and your sister. Take her up to your room and wait for Terri to get here," I told my almost five year old as I reached over, waking up my youngest baby.
"Lili. Time to wake up pumpkin," I softly spoke as I picked her up.
"Noo. I sleep," the toddler whined as I rubbed her back.
"I gotta change your diaper boo. And then we're gonna go see mama," I said as she shook her head. Back in the day that would have been all I need to say to A'kai who was a mama's girl through and through. Alijah on the other hand, was my spoiled little baby. She loved her some mommy and couldn't care less about everyone else. I turned her over and changed her diaper before redressing her. I had a few days left of my leave, so Im taking the girls to watch Y/n play. That was all A'kai needed to know before she spent the whole day asking me when we were leaving. As I stood up to grab my phone from the other couch, the ring doorbell went off, letting me know Terri was here.
"Ace, Deuce! Kai bring Mila down," I called out as I opened the door, hugging the smaller lady.
"How are you honey? You look good!" She said as I smiled brightly. It wasn't common knowledge but I did have moments where the postpartum depression hits and I definitely felt a little off about my body but things like this made me feel better.
"Thanks Terri. Here's Ace and Deuce's bags. Mila's stuff is in Deuce's bag," I told her as I passed the bags. Ace ran in with deuce right behind him.
"Oh glad y'all could join us. Time to go bye bye, get your leash," I said as they ran to the mud room and grabbed them.
"Oh you right them that?" She asked as I nodded cheesing.
"I could take your job Terri," I teased as Kai came with Mila. She laughed and took the small dog from Kai.
"Well we will get out y'all's hair. Have fun at the game Kai," she said as Kai hugged her good bye.
"Ali. Come here sweetface," I cooed as I walked into the living room. She sat up rubbing her eyes and held her arms up.
"Mommy," she whined. I laughed and picked her up.
"You ready to go see mama?" She nodded her head and looked to Kai, her bestie.
"Sissy! Hi sissy," she said happily as Kai giggled reaching for her. I passed her her sister and grabbed my purse and keys.
"Alright beautiful ladies, let's roll," I said as we headed out the house. Me being me, I couldn't not go to Watch my team play and not wear Vegas gear so I did that, but A'kai being the mama's girl she is was wearing her sparks jersey and some cute jeans. Alijah was matching me in a Vegas onesie and some matching shorts.
"Mommy, can I sit with Nugget and auntie Chelsea?" She asked as I laughed.
"You don't wanna sit with me and Ali?" I asked as she shrugged.
"I guess. I like sitting with them though,"
"I don't know if they gone let you sit over there with a Sparks jersey bookie," I teased picnicking her cheek as she giggled.
"You're right! I'll sit with Angel," she said making me laugh.
"You are a mess. You know that?" She just smiled as we pulled up. I still had a valid staff pass so I pulled into the staff garage and got the kids out. I scanned my key card and we walked in through the locker room. When I walked up to the door I heard commotion so they team must have still been inside. I opened the door after knocking and the look on everyone's face made me feel warm inside.
"Hey y'all," I said as I was suddenly attacked by hugs.
"Hey Aj'. You look good!" Candace said as I smiled hugging her.
"Thanks Candy. Jack get your girl, she wearing a sparks jersey and wanna sit on the bench," I said making a face as she turned around to look at Kai.
"Oh KaiKai. Take off that mess," she joked as she playfully rugged the bottom of her jersey.
"Look nugget, it has my name on it, see?" She said as she turned around showing the the jersey that read 'Valentine 11'.
"I hate to break it to you baby girl but that's because it's your mo-," I shook my head, stopping her. We'd already gone through this a million times but just like her mama, A'kai was hard headed as hell so it was no use. She genuinely believed they made that jersey specifically for her, and I was gonna let her have it at this point.
"Ali-Cat, come here girl! I missed you," Candace said as she hugged Alijah. She giggled kissing Candace's cheek.
"I miss Candy!" She said as we awed. kris clapped as I looked up.
"You got that on camera?"
"Yessir! Y'all both want it. We nodded and he assured us we'd get the clip. We joked for a while before walking out. I walked Kai over to the Sparks bench where her mama was.
"Hey boo," I said as I leaned over kissing her. She smiled and wrapped her arms around me, pressing a kiss into Ali's head.
"Hey baby. Hi princess," she cooed at our daughter who smiled.
"Hi mama," I talked to her a little before handing A'kai her phone.
"Be good princess. I love you," I said as she said it back and I headed back to our side of the court, with Alijah on my hip.
"Ali, can you walk mama?" I asked as she shook her head, lying her head on my shoulder.
"You are so spoiled. You wanna sit with mommy or Nugget?" I asked as we walked up and she pointed to Jackie.
"Say nugget come get me," I said as she repeated it.
"Nugget get me!" Jackie turned around a smiled brightly.
"Hey bubby. I missed you," she said as she grabbed the toddler, kissing her cheek. I sat behind the bench, as the game started. Once the starters went out, I held her on my lap.
"Look boo, there go Mama," I pointed out as she cheered.
"Yay mama!" Becky looked back and kissed the top of her head.
"We only cheer for aces over her Ali-cat," she said as Ali giggled holding her face.
"Becky!" She said as Becky couldn't do anything but smile.
"You're lucky your cute. Hey AB Watch that!" Yeah you heard that right. We were slowly becoming a team of Gamecocks. Aliyah joined us last season as a free agent and Alaina stayed after her hardship contract. All we needed was Lish to join us but she loved Atl so much it wasn't gonna happen. Y/n got a jump ball with Chelsea, and of course Y/n won the tip and she immediately tossed it to Angel who head leaked out for an easy lay.
"I- this damn girl," I said as Jackie looked over and read the double coming to her. She immediately kicked out to Kelsey who set up the play and used a pick and roll with Aliyah that lead to an easy score for us. We cheered as I slowly rocked Alijah.
"Sleepy," she said as I kissed her cheek.
"Go ahead baby," I said as I used the jacket on my chair to cover her up and she laid against my chest listening to my heart beat. I peeked down at A'kai who was standing on the bench cheering for Y/n. I giggled as I saw the ESPN camera on her, knowing she made it on tv.
