I had to put that aside though because I wouldn't dare hinder her from doing what she loves if the doctors believe she is ready. Not to mention I really enjoyed us being back in the same home long term. Once she went back to work she'd be back at our house in Vegas which would leave is going back to our long distance routine. It would also be hard on the kids because A hasn't been one the basketball court for more than a month at a time since Alijah was born, so that would be a big adjustment for them. "I'll figure it out I guess. Maybe I'll ask my mistress," I joked as she stopped everything and looked me dead in my face, knife in hand and all. I lucked out so hard pulling you," I said as she smiled. "Yeah you did. I think I got pretty lucky too," she responded as my phone rang. I groaned, seeing it was Asani. That only meant one thing; the silence was over because whose was dropping the kids off. "Hello?" I answered as I heard laughter in the background. "Hey y/n. We outside, come open the door," "I guess," I said before hanging up and going to open the door. "Mama!" Kai said as she rushed in hugging me. "Hi beautiful. Uh this little demon spawn decided that she wanted to open the cupcake instead of waiting like I asked. So yeah good luck with bath time,"she said as she passed me Alijah, who had icing All on her face and shirt. "You got all messy huh mama?" I said as A'jah came in and smiled when she saw Asani. "Hey Sanibug," she said hugging the teenager. "Hey A. I missed you," she said as they still held onto each other. "Nooo my mommy," Alijah whined as she wiggled trying to get down. "I'm not tryna steal your mom little brat," she said as she stuck her tongue at Ali who did it back. "Wow Asani are we one?" I said as she shrugged her shoulders. "She been trying me the whole time I had her. She need to take after her big sister more. Lil mean butt," she said as A laughed. "Awee y'all are cute. Come on Sweetface let's go clean you up," she said as she scooped up the toddler, who burst into a fit of giggles. "A made chicken Alfredo if you're hungry," I said as she declined. Drive safe," I said as we pulled apart. "Love you too big head, bye," she said, closing the door behind herself. I laughed shaking my head. My bay sister was really growing up on me. "Mama! I need help," I hear A'kai yell from upstairs as I sighed jogging up. Parenting never stops.
