Getting two kids ready for anything has got to be the WORST part of being a parent. Kai was fussing about not wanting to get her hair done and Alijah was half naked in just a t shirt and a diaper running around the house.
"Alright I'm done. You two got five minutes, and I mean exactly five minted ti get it together. I'm not about to be late cause y'all can't follow simple directions. A'kai, go get me a brush and comb please. Alijah Michelle, get your butt over here so I can put your pants on," I said with my bass in my voice. They immediately followed suit making me roll my eyes.
"Mommy mad?" Ali asked as I shook my head.
"No mommy is frustrated and having being feelings because you aren't listening ," I said as she pouted.
"Sorry mommy," I smiled kissing her cheek as I buttoned her pants.
"I appreciate your apology alicat. Give me a kiss," I said as she kissed my cheek.
"Alright come on Kai. I apologize for raising my voice but I need you two to understand when I tell you to do something I'm not just talking for my own amusement. There's always a reason," I said as I parted her hair in half and began securing the two ponytails.
"I understand. I'm sorry for not listening mommy," she apologized as I kissed her cheek.
"I appreciate your apology baby. Alright let's go before we're late," I said as I grabbed my purse and the small bag with Ali's things in it before heading out. We were on our way to the headquarters to set up for Syd's surprise party. Her and Theresa's show was premiering today and she thought we were having a last minute meeting ti talked about playoffs, but really her girlfriend set up a whole surprise party for her and T. We pulled up and I smiled looking at the girls.
"Y'all are so beautiful," I said as Kai smiled and Alijah ignored me completely.
"Just like you mommy," she said as I smiled. We walked inside and met everyone in the film room. Syd wouldn't be here for another fifteen minutes so we were  all just talking and Theresa walked in.
"Oh my goodness. I know that's not the baby that was on your stomach just yesterday! And there's another one too?" She said as I smiled nodding.
"Yup, this is Alijah, and Kai," I said as Kai hugged her, meanwhile Ali stayed laying with Alysha, petting sly.
"Her little pajamas are so cute A," She said as I nodded.
"I know! Y/N's grandma made them for her,"
"Okay y'all she finna come in," Becky said as we all quietly waited. The door opened and her girlfriend Madi walked in first.
"Hey ya-oh my goshhhh," Sydney said as she walked in.
"Surpriseeee!" Everyone said as she smiled big. She hugged everybody before she got to Chelsea.
"Just so happened I was in the area," she said jokingly, as that was TP's signal. Kiah walked in with her right behind her and that got her. Syd started tearing up making us all smile.
"Awe Syd,"
"Look mommy! Can I have a baby bother?" A'kai asked as I looked up seeing her holding Chelsea and Tip's son, Lennox, on her hip.
"Absolutely not. Give me him before you drop him," I said taking the infant from her.
"Why you let her grab him?" I asked Chelsea as she shrugged.
"She asked. I thought she knew how to hold babies," she said as I laughed.
"That was a Jackie ass answer. Your mama is slow aint it X?" I cooed as she laughed grabbing my face.
"Y'all so cute. Look at X and his Auntie A," I heard as I looked up to see Tipesa recording us. I smiled kissing his little head. Soon after he fell asleep on my shoulder. We watched the show laughing the whole damn time.
"I'm so proud of y'all. Y'all really did the damn thing,"I said as Syd smiled.
"Oh my gosh A'ja just said something nice to me yall!" She said making us all laugh.
"See don't get too happy now," I teased.

"I'm ready to go homeeee," I said as Asani dragged me around Rodeo dr.
"Waitttt just one more store and then I'm done I swear," she said as her phone rang.
"Hello? Yeah she right here...A'ja wants to talk to you," she said handing me her phone, as she picked up a top.
"Hey baby, what's up?" I said as she sighed.
"Kai has a dance recital next week but it's the day after your game. I just wanted to see if you'll be able to be back in time or if we need to tell her now," she said as I nodded as if she could see me.
"I'll be there baby. Don't worry," I said as Asani walked over.
"I'm done can I have your card?" I passed it to her and shook my head.
"You good mama? I miss you," I said as Sani walked back over.
"I'm done, we can leave,"she said as I nodded following her to the car.
"Yeah I'm good baby, I'm just sleepy. I miss you too though my love. I'm so tempted to fly out to you," she said as I laughed.
"If you have time to I'll fly you out mama. It's not a problem," I said as she laughed.
"I would love to but I have some things to do here. I'll call you later on tonight png FaceTime though. I love you y/n/n," she said as I smiled.
"Alright for sure. I love you too mama, talk yo you later," I said before we hung up. I gave Sani her phone and she smiled.
"What punk?" I said as she laughed shaking her head.
"Nothing I just love the way y'all love each other. I hope that me and Caleb can be like y'all long term," she said as I smiled.
"Awe Sanibug. I trust that if he is as good as you say he is to you, and her really loves you y'all will, if not better," I said as I hugged my little sister. She smiled and nodded. We vibed out to the music for the rest of the way but that really stuck with me. That's always something that everybody points out about us and I love it. Cause that means it shows that I truly love A and that's all I ever wanted.
