"Humans are... not the only ones in control anymore?", Otam stuttered anxiously and confused. "Wh-what do you mean?"
Anyora repressed her confusion and stood still in front of him. Controlled, to be more accurate. She attempted to talk, "Maverick, I think you shou-".
"Humans live together with an unknown race on earth. Which means...", Maverick turned to her and looked deeply into her scared eyes. "We aren't humans, Anyora."
She froze and muted. That phrase that just came from him was actually familiar to her. Too familiar. But she still felt something within her that wanted to resist the absurd imagination of not being human.
"I mean, just look at yourself. And then, look around you. Look at us. We're not what we thought we were this whole time. We are a different race with different senses and abilities!" Maverick explained.
"N-no!", Anyora stuttered terrified.
"And the person which you want to spy on," the young man pointed at the scuttle, "isn't a human neither, why they were searching you most likely. That's why I want you to stay here for a while. We need first to learn more about them and ourselves so we can prepare together for the chas-!"
"I said NO!!", the girl yelled and silenced Maverick, "This has gone way too far. You don't get involved any deeper there. I don't want any of you to get in trouble and this... this psychotic chaos!"
Ashley and Otam didn't move from their spot since they were scared of anything that could happen next. Otam looked confused down his body while Ashley still covered her mouth of disbelief and not wanting to make a gratuitous sound. Maverick also starred at her nervously, afraid of what would come next.
"I want to figure it out on my own. Without you witnessing anything unsettling. It's been already enough. "
Otam growled quietly, yet aggressively and shouted, "What on this fricking earth do you think you're doing?! Didn't you forget that you already passed out a few times and literally looked more than just unsettling! You were..." he hitched of nervousness, "heavily vacantly to put it simple. We don't want you to get lost there or, in the worst case, even die!!", he sniffed as if he would cry soon, still sounding angry, "We care about you!!"
Anyora starred at him while the others strengthened their eye contact with her. They stood there for an arduous while until the girl seemed to have given up starring at them sighed, dropping her sight on the floor.
She didn't want to believe to any of this. Anyora didn't want to believe that she ended up there and not somewhat else. She didn't want to believe she was wanted. But most of all, she didn't want to believe there were more people who indicate to care for her.
The girl walked backwards to lean on the wall, but just when the others were about to exhale of relief, they heard from Anyora a deep "You shouldn't, though."
With that phrase, she disappeared through the scuttle, leaving everyone else confused behind.
"No more looking back", Anyora thought to herself, climbing to the outdoors, "Just keep looking forward and focused on your target."
She heard angry screams behind her and felt every wall convulsing while she stood up and shut the scuttle with a loud thud. She stomped on the scuttle to silence the screams coming from there, and as a sign she wouldn't even listen to them.
Remembering her surroundings, Anyora immediately turned to left first to see the dark side of the street and then to right where the graffiti was sprayed. Not thinking about the decision for too long, the girl quickly went to the corner behind the decorated wall.
