Matt's POV

"Mate, you need to get yourself out there. You've been wallowing in your room for weeks now." Alex said whilst jumping on my bed.

"Yeah, mate. You've only come out for rehearsals!" Jamie said, launching himself on top of me, causing me to grunt with paint at the weight of him.

"I'm never going to find anyone like her," I said, the sound of my voice muffled by my pillow.

"You never know! And going out to a club is the best place to test those waters," Nick added.

"Lads, I really don't feel like it," I mumbled again.

"Come on, Helders! It will be fun." Alex giggled, picking up a pillow and hitting me right in the face with it.

"Will it stop you smacking me with a pillow?" I raised my eyebrows at Al as he retreated with the bedding.

"Dress nice. It will help you pick up the ladies," Al added before skipping out of the room like a giddy child, followed by Jamie and Nick.

Your POV

"Okay, ladies! What have we got for pre-drinks" I said after walking out of my room. I was all dolled up and ready for a great night out with my friends. And I was ready to drink.

"Well we have vodka, tequila and, if you really wanna feel fucked, we have sambuca!" Y/f said as she pointed at the array of liquor and spirit bottles lined out on the counter.

"Well tequila doesn't agree with me and I have been personally victimised by sambuca, so I'm gonna be on the vodka," y/f2 states, pouring a generous shot of the clear alcoholic liquid.

"Tequila for me, lovely!" I said to y/f as she poured both of us a shot and handed me a slice of lime and a sachet of salt. The three of us clinked our glasses together and downed the drinks, flinching as the alcohol burned down our throats.

We put on some of our favourite bands and danced in my living room, climbing on the sofas and tables as we drank just enough to get us tipsy and in the mood for a great time.

"Y/n, why do you always look so fucking good? Like I can't seem to get my eyeliner as sharp and perfect as yours?" Y/f said as she pranced around the room with a vodka orange in her hand.

"Shhh. You look stunning too. I mean look at that dress!" I responded. She had a beautiful sparkly red body con dress which showed off her figure perfectly.

"She's right. That dress looks so good on you." Said y/f2 who also had a beautiful outfit. An emerald green two piece which consisted of a strappy crop top and a flowing skirt with a high slit up the side.

I myself was wearing a tight fitting pleather mini dress with a cut out right underneath my bust. My friends keep saying my relationships have failed because I'm not attracting the right kind of men, trashy men who don't know how to treat women, well like women and not objects.

"Okay girls, I think it's about time we head out. Who's calling the Uber?" I yell as we all down another shot of liquid courage. I can't get too drunk if I'm gonna try and find my Mr Right tonight. I'm not a light weight, but I will embarrass myself if I have too much tequila in my system. Maybe I'll switch to the wine.

We take the uber to the club down town and both my friends get out of the car like regular functioning humans, whilst I, of course, get my heal stuck and trip out of the vehicle like a fucking moron. I'm usually a confident and cocky person, but so far, the night has not been going my way. I gather myself before realising I have ripped my tights and my knee is now bleeding a little.
