Caleb and I entered the McDonald's and after ordering what we wanted we sat down in a booth in a corner, I didn't know what to say to start the conversation and apparently neither did he so we just sat there eating in an awkward silence for a few moments before he finally chose to speak up

"So...Sasha how are you liking college so far?" I chuckled

"Well I've only been here a day officially and the classes haven't even started" he just smiled at me and took a bite of his burger

"Alright, off to more simple questions then, full name, age, major, favorite color, your parents' jobs and if you have siblings" I laughed until I couldn't breathe anymore

"I don't know if those qualify as questions but okay. My full name is Sasha May Peterson I'm 18 and my favorite color is red...um...oh yeah! I am a Law major, what else? I am an only child, my father is the vice president of some major company in Canada and my mother died when I was 7" he frowned

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to remind you of that" I just munched on my French fries before trying to give him what I though would be a warm smile

"I won't lie and tell you I'm fine but I'm not depressed or anything I mean it was 11 years ago. Anyway back to lighter topics" I smiled to show him I was okay "Same 'questions' to you"

"Caleb James King, 19 and I have no favorite colors per say but I would say I prefer white. I have a baby sister, my mother is a painter and does all her work from home my father on the other hand is a journalist but often volunteers at the Red Cross. They all live in Chicago. And I am a Business major and a History minor"

"Well aren't you a busy man" I mocked

"After our first encounter I can honestly say that you Sasha May Peterson are not at all what I thought you would be and that is quite refreshing" he said putting emphasis on the word 'that'

"And I can also say that you Caleb James King are definitely not what I pegged you out to be and I guess that's pretty cool"

We finished eating and the conversation kept flowing like we had known each other for years. Caleb was a pretty fun guy I guess, he just couldn't stop teasing me about everything. Normally I would have been beyond pissed after the third joke but I let it slide with him, I didn't know why and it was scaring me a little.

We headed back to my room where we left the others sound asleep about two hours ago. When I opened the door Miranda practically tackled me to the ground and asked us about a million questions about our whereabouts and what we've been doing and playfully hit me because of the note I sticked on her forehead. We all sat down in the room, Nick sat next to me on my bed, Caleb sat on my desk chair and Miranda sat on her bed.

After Caleb explained our little lunch 'date'...Wait! Would this qualify as a date? Because I don't go near those things and I sure as hell don't feel the things that dates require you to feel for the person you're going on a date with. Well anyway, after Caleb explained our afternoon together Nick took me into the hallway, I didn't even get a chance to close the door properly before he spoke up

"Sorry I fell asleep in your bed and didn't take you out for lunch"

"It's alright, I'm pretty sure you didn't get any rest with that clingy chick of yours last night" he nervously laughed and rubbed that back of his neck

"Hey could we...could we just forget this morning and last night ever happened and start fresh? You have a pretty bad impression of me and I want to show you I'm not as bad as I look"

"Look Nick, I don't have a bad impression of you, sure I don't particularly like you, but I guess we could start by just being friends. I know you're a player and I know you and I will never be anything more than friends so I can only hope that this friendship will work"
